Re: LSSU hockey 2013-14

Year 9 will be the best one yet for Lake Superior under Jim Roque. You people on here are genius to support him and the administration up there are geniuses to keep him. Just wait and see!

You're like the Emergency Alert System. Annoying, obnoxious, no one listens to you, and you pop up at the worst possible moments.

Truth Squad...Pink Pony...Truth Serum...Truth Squad...Pink Pony...Truth Serum...

Your next post will be as Truth Squad again. Keep the rotation going. Nice work.

Thanks for listening!

I listen to people like you and the majority on here who support Jim Roque and this team. I'm just echoing what the majority agrees with on here. This coach is the right guy to lead Lake Superior to the promised land. He is lucky to have faithful supporters defending the last 8 years. You people are sure smart.

Year 9 will be the best year yet!

The only time that I see posts from any of the Truth sisters is when other people respond to them. Don't engage, man. It's like letting the sick deer pass through the field.

It doesn't really matter either way. Truthy will always hold LSSU in low regard, even after Roque is long gone. As long as this forum stays on the internet, he will be here to the bitter end.

I think that you're right. I also think that I'm right in saying that there's no point in engaging or in not putting them on Ignore.

Not real sure how you ignore someone on her. If I did, I would have done it months ago.
Go to Settings (near the upper right corner of USCHO window), then select Edit Ignore List on the left side. That brings you to a window where you can add User Names to your Ignore List. You will still see that these users posted something, you just won't see their actual message (unless someone else replied to one of their posts with Quote).

You can also click on a user's name in blue to the left of their post and bring up their user profile. In that terribly-contrasted set of links at the left, that's Add to Ignore List. Shazaam.

Very easy to do. Really enhanced my enjoyment of USCHO.com message boards. I blocked out Truthy and His Many Faces months ago -- and I only see his postings when they are quoted -- which is blessedly getting more and more rare.

Meat for the wolves, So got some inside info since the kings at the top of the hill have developed a reputation for not communicating with the rest the peasants of the laker world, construction on the arena will not start till spring of 2014 or later. It seems that the individual that is contributing to the arena has to get his/her paperwork in order to move such a large sum of money that will comply with Federal, State, Local and National NCAA rules and regulations. Source is from an individual who lives, breathes and participates in the community in an elected position. Myself, I have been a part of one of the organizations on campus and have gotten a different story each time the kings were asked about the status of the project. My gut is that the kings have somehow f upped the deal and I think this project does not get done, strictly my opinion......if you need further proof of how the kings don't share or play nice, the current fundraising that is going on for the South Hall Project needs to raise $3mil +, does anyone know how much has been raised to date, nothing posted on the website, nothing communicated to the community of laker alumns and faithful or the the community at large, i.e. the peasants of laker world. The South Hall project was approved to move forward "with the hopes" of collecting the $3mil but if the does not happen then a loan will be taken out to finance the rest. Sound familiar, it should, as this is following the same path that was done to build the white elephant building on campus, the fine arts center. Nothing fine about it. Enjoy the tenderloin, sorry chuck roast, laker peasants......

The South Hall project is about 2/3 funded at this point, mostly through naming rights purchases. Last I spoke with several individuals at the University close to the project, they felt they had a few interested parties for the building naming rights, which according to the website, totals $1.5 million. Add that all up, and that's roughly $3.5 million. That project is on course. No worries. In my opinion, a new business building could never be the "Arts Center" fiasco all over again. The School of Business carries many more students than the Arts Program, and produces many more successful students in higher paying jobs. The AC would have been great if LSSU was a liberal arts college, but it just didn't warrant that kind of expenditure back in the 2000s.

In my humble opinion, the Norris Center Project is going to get done. Why? The donor is on campus more than everyone knows. Based on what I know about the donor, said person is not one to waste time and energy on something with no intention of following through.

Re: LSSU hockey 2013-14

I'm past the point of caring. This is Laker hockey. I bought into Coach Roque only because it seemed to ensure this project. First it was a financial commitment to upgrade the program funding. DONE. Then it was Red Tape and Building Permits. Now it's Federal, State, Local and National NCAA Rules and Regulations.
It seems to me 8 years was long enough to get these issues in order. EIGHT YEARS.
TIME FOR A CHANGE OF IMAGE. YOU ARE KILLING ANY BIT OF INTEGRITY THE PROGRAM EVER HAD.

Here is my Two cents. I don't thing it is Roque. I don't think it is in the Hockey program at all. I think the issue is higher up the food chain then that. I think in my humble opinion it is Dunbar. She is a JOKE as an A.D. her one and only concern is money... Not spending it.... She does not get that with out a STRONG LSSU hockey program her love child basketball has NOTHING... Dunbar is the one that needs to go. LSSU needs someone with vision, someone that is willing to see the program for what it is. The reason that LSSU Has any other sports at all. Time to go Kris.... you have over stayed your welcome.

Blame Dubar, blame Roque, blame someone but the reality is that this project is no where near what we thought it was going to be....that's if it gets done at all and I highly suspect it doesn't....I mean the alleged "donor" needs time to get all the paper-work together to move the money? Yeah sure.....seems like the only joke is the one laid on the Laker fans and that is a real shame. I guess the only thing I can hope for is Rolston doing the program the biggest favor by taking lame Jimbo off our hands but I doubt very much that will happen either.....sorry folks but this ship has sunk...we'll just have to see what can be salvaged.
