Leopards Ate My Face! The Official Thread.

Just finally saw him live in a small club. Out of the 100+ comedy shows I have seen live he may have been the best. Keep an eye out for his new special as it will be good.

His audience work is good. His jokes are... promising. He hasn't made it yet to where your jaw drops, but he's one of the few guys with a chance to get there. He still mixes in a bunch of ho hum stuff that anybody could say, and it removes all the tension. He may be doing it on purpose, but the truly great ones bend that bow and then keep it taut the whole way.

Since he's trying something interesting -- genuinely challenge us instead of either keeping it safely boxed up (Jimmy Carr) or winking (Chappelle) I'd love to see him go the whole way and only release the tension on the double/triple take jokes.

I'd love a comedian where no joke in isolation is funny at all, but the relation of the jokes is everything. He does it a few times:

Driving home last night I hit a child.

It wasn't serious.

Nobody saw me.

I'd love that compounded and triple/quadruple referential.
