Re: Jan. 15 Scores: Elmira in the 'Seo, MASCAC, MCHA Braggin' Rights on the Line
Mouthy jerks! How many players did they trip running down the sidelines?
Hate to break it to you, but FOX Sports found evidence that the Patriots were doing the exact same thing before the Jets. In fact, the Pats tried to trip a Jets player the first time they met this year.
Enjoy that black kettle...
I am particularly enjoying Jets' haters going apoplectic everytime the Jets win, eagerly awaiting the time they can pound Jets fans into submission when the Jets finally lose.
Guess what? We don't care. We've been losers for over 40 years. We're used to it. Heck, we expect them to lose! Somehow, someway, we expect them to break our hearts once again.
We can handle the Jets losing. But you guys can't handle the Jets
winning. And that's what is making this so unbelievably enjoyable.
Yeah, I'm usually not a fan of braggerts and trash talk, even when it is my team. But Rex seems to be different. He obviously has this planned out to reverse the 40+ year culture of losing with this franchise as well as keep the focus (and thus pressure) away from the players and onto him. Ryan completely outcoached Bellicheat in every facet of the game, starting last Monday.
And I have never seen a team so dedicated to a coach as this one. Just read the quotes from the players. BTW, there was a poll done by I think SI that asked players around the league, "Not counting your current coach, who would you most like to play for?" Rex Ryan won in a landslide. A landslide!
Think about that. If most players in the NFL would rather play for Ryan than anyone else, that says a lot about what the players really think of the situation. And Ryan gets results. Of course, that's the key. Without the results, he would be nothing more than a big mouth fool.
So, go on. Keep hating the Jets. We can take it. We can even take it if you get the last laugh.
But, can you take them winning?
