Re: Jan. 15 Scores: Elmira in the 'Seo, MASCAC, MCHA Braggin' Rights on the Line

SNC leads UWEC 3-1 with 3:00 left but EC pp.

SOG 25-18 EC

If not for two really soft goals allowed by blugold goalie, snc would be in real trouble

Re: Jan. 15 Scores: Elmira in the 'Seo, MASCAC, MCHA Braggin' Rights on the Line

EC pulls goalie and gets goal with :51.3 left. EC misses another chance with :24.9 left.

But SNC wins 3-2, as Tim Coghlin ties the legendary Bob Peters for most wins (370) as an NCHA coach. Congrats to Coach Coghlin!!! And thank you!

EC comes back from 3-1 and beats Geneseo 4-3!

Geneseo really lost its intesity and then began making mistakes in the 2nd and 3rd periods as Elmira began pressuring the puck more. Geneseo's inexperience was really revealed here, but I give Elmira kudos for a very well-played game.

Re: Jan. 15 Scores: Elmira in the 'Seo, MASCAC, MCHA Braggin' Rights on the Line

Boy, the Geneseo rink manager is on a power trip. You'd think he'd never seen a hockey game before, threatening to throw us all out because we dared YELL AT A HOCKEY GAME? OMG! I toldthe ref his seeing-eye dog took a dump in the locker room and you'd think I cursed his mother. Meanwhile their fans can yell what they want. Anyway, great comeback win for EC against a team we could be compared with for NCAA bids.
This is the type of comeback that can be a momentum-builder. Great response by Saul & the guys after a disastrous first period.

Somebody call AAA!! The wheels are coming off the Genny cart!!

Elmira 4-3 Schrank
Almost, their Zamboni ran out of gas at the start of resurfacing between sec.& third periods, had to change propane tank.
Great comeback by EC, Genny showed their typical cheap shots near the end of the game.

Holy offense for UWS.....7 goals last night, 8 tonight? Keep it up!

Very impressive weekend by Superior. Another note, though, is that you can never count Stout out. Sure it didn't get a win this weekend but over the past few years has anyone won more third periods than Stout? Someone needs to run the numbers on that. They flat out do not give up.

Re: Jan. 15 Scores: Elmira in the 'Seo, MASCAC, MCHA Braggin' Rights on the Line

Mouthy jerks! How many players did they trip running down the sidelines?

Hate to break it to you, but FOX Sports found evidence that the Patriots were doing the exact same thing before the Jets. In fact, the Pats tried to trip a Jets player the first time they met this year.

Enjoy that black kettle...

I am particularly enjoying Jets' haters going apoplectic everytime the Jets win, eagerly awaiting the time they can pound Jets fans into submission when the Jets finally lose.

Guess what? We don't care. We've been losers for over 40 years. We're used to it. Heck, we expect them to lose! Somehow, someway, we expect them to break our hearts once again.

We can handle the Jets losing. But you guys can't handle the Jets winning. And that's what is making this so unbelievably enjoyable.

Yeah, I'm usually not a fan of braggerts and trash talk, even when it is my team. But Rex seems to be different. He obviously has this planned out to reverse the 40+ year culture of losing with this franchise as well as keep the focus (and thus pressure) away from the players and onto him. Ryan completely outcoached Bellicheat in every facet of the game, starting last Monday.

And I have never seen a team so dedicated to a coach as this one. Just read the quotes from the players. BTW, there was a poll done by I think SI that asked players around the league, "Not counting your current coach, who would you most like to play for?" Rex Ryan won in a landslide. A landslide!

Think about that. If most players in the NFL would rather play for Ryan than anyone else, that says a lot about what the players really think of the situation. And Ryan gets results. Of course, that's the key. Without the results, he would be nothing more than a big mouth fool.

So, go on. Keep hating the Jets. We can take it. We can even take it if you get the last laugh.

But, can you take them winning?
