Re: I Think I'll Go For A Walk - Death Pool Thread

Who from the administration goes to the funeral???

Remember, Florida is still in play...
If anybody from the administration goes to a funeral held by that country for Castro prior to the election, the state goes to Romney in a landslide. The Cubans would vote en mass against Obama. My bet on the split would be something like 93/7. And if somebody was sent to that funeral a week after the election, four years from now they would all vote against that administration.

Why would any administration even consider sending an official representative to the funeral of a blood soaked Communist dictator?

Yuri Andropov comes to mind.

And Leonid, and Konstantin, but the USSR was a super power. Cuba is merely a pain in the a*s. We could send Pee Wee Herman. Or maybe Larry the Cable guy.

Cuba is a more like America's hemerrhoid. A total pain in the ***, but they are in a pretty sensitive spot that could turn things very ****ty in a big hurry.

George Mcgovern finally gives it up.

His last words were "Thank God Zsa Zsa still lives"

Not without their Soviet benefactors. For years prior to Castro the US paid above market prices for Cuban sugar. And we would probably be willing to do so again, if Castro's death meant there would be a significant change in their government. No assurances of that now, since Raul in charge.
