Re: I can't believe there's no MSU - Miami thread
So I am now to believe anyone that has ever made money betting on sports knows what they're talking about? You're funny.
No, but combined with the fact that I back up my statements with facts, stats and evidence, could mean that I do actually know what I'm talking about.
Do you say this having watched either team play this season, or do you base it solely on scores? Since you claim to be a hockey fan, you must recognize that sometimes a one goal win can be from a dominating performance.
The one goal thing seems to be a trend in EVERY SINGLE game, almost, though. So the theory that they are dominating despite the close margin of victory just isn't supported by the facts.
I haven't watched either team play. I believe randomly watching a team play one or even a few games, can too easily skew a person's perspective. If I could watch every single game, by every single team, then it all could be balanced out, but tell me, do you have the time to watch that many games?! I don't. I allow myself to watch only Gopher games, the years I'm betting on that sport, and then I do not allow myself to bet on the Gophers, for my perspective often gets skewed when it comes to them.
But, what I do have the time to do, is to analyze statistical data, especially since so many people/sites on the internet do most of the research for me. Now you are more than welcome to doubt me and my level of intelligence, or my level of knowledge of sports or more specifically college hockey, but all I can do is tell you that doubting me is not the right thing to do. I've proven over a 15 year time span that my methods of analyzing sports and then being able to predict winners is accurate far more often than not. The 2 years I spent betting on college basketball full time, betting on an average of 40 games a week, I made the right picks against the spread 75-85% of the time. I've been told that 60% is a very high percentage. I seriously considered moving to Las Vegas but I was given the opportunity to get custody of my 4 yr old daughter and didn't want her to have to tell anyone that her daddy was a professional gambler, so I chose instead to become a hard working single father. But that was 13-14 years ago, she's now out of the house, and I'm using this winter to ease myself back into it.
If you go back and ignore my inflammatory remark about Miami being the worst #3 rated team ever, lol, and just look at the data I supplied that helped bring me to that conclusion, you can easily see that I do have a clue what I am talking about. But my guess is that you will not be able to remove your biases from your mind. The fact that my research points to the CCHA being, as a whole, very weak, does not bode well for your team or any team in the CCHA, so its pretty natural for you and most all other CCHA fans to want very badly to find a reason not to believe me. I understand that, and I'm fine with that. If betting over the internet was legal I'd use that fact to take all of you suckers for all your money. lol.
