I Bought Some Nachos!

Re: I Bought Some Nachos!

I'm having tacos for dinner tonight.
I'm having tacos from Jack in the Box. mmmm.... My favorite.

Great line from the taco bell article.

"Certainly people love Doritos, but putting them onto a shell doesn't necessarily make it a more authentic Mexican restaurant," Ries said.

I love that they used "more authentic Mexican restaurant" in conjunction with Taco Bell, especially as it related to competing with Chipotle. I love taco bell and Chipotle (and Jack in the Box tacos, which arrived as I write this) but they dam sure ain't Mexican food.

FlagDUDETTE made nachos for supper. With chicken, sour cream, and homemade guac. :D

Sorry, no more bites available.

Re: I Bought Some Nachos!

Making a very basic plate of nachos tonight. Ground beef with pepper jack cheese and beans.

Re: I Bought Some Nachos!

I have gotten the cheesesteak nachos at the X a few time now. Nachos with cheesesteak meat, and peppers and onions, loaded with liquicheese. They're quite tasty.

Re: I Bought Some Nachos!

Might as well resurrect them all. I had some nachos today. Jack cheese, salsa, black beans. Tasty.

Re: I Bought Some Nachos!

I've been eating some nachos lately, various places. Granite City Brewery has some different nacho options - the traditional kind, which includes, unfortunately, the Cheese Whiz style nacho sauce, along with real cheese; and then there's the barbeque pork nachos, which use BBQ sauce drizzled over pork. They'd be better if the BBQ sauce wasn't so sweet.

Re: I Bought Some Nachos!

Had some chos yesterday at La Flor off 30. Tex mex opened by San Antonio folks living here like mookie. So much cheese wiz mookie had to eat them with a fork. Smothered in guacamole and sour cream too with a healthy dump of jalapeños (4kd)

Will go back

Re: I Bought Some Nachos!

The term "nacho" was named after a man named Ignacio Anaya, who went by the name Nacho, and he first invented the dish. There's your useless fact for the day.
