Hopefully you will find this a fun read-let me know...

Re: Hopefully you will find this a fun read-let me know...

Just wanted you to know how much I'm enjoying these reads. Amazing how much these kids play these days(summer also). Far from my two or three practices a week at 6 am at Colgate's Starr Rink on Hamilton NY's first ever high school team !

Here's my latest post. Chapter 26: Look Out Below!
I hope it makes sense...I wrote some of it on the gurney in the hospital waiting to have some pesky kidney stones removed. I finished it up post-op while on pain meds....I apologize for any typos, bad grammar or if anything that doesn't sound coherent.

They also got captains practices before the season so there was no lack of ice time.

The following season when RPI visited Colgate my buddy sitting next to me yelled to Dickie Coles during warmups, "Hey Coles, Did you get your Christmas card from Addessa" ? A big smile from Coles looking at us followed, he had a sense of humor.

Sadly, UVM did away with their baseball program a few years ago. Now their facility is used by a Short Season A minor league baseball team

Kirk was an outstanding hockey/baseball player for UVM when I was at Maine. I saw him play both sports at the NCAA level, then pitch in the major leagues for Oakland (I think.)

I always wished that he would've chosen the NHL over MLB, but he had a nice career with the latter, IIRC. (Been a while.)
