hockey major?

Re: hockey major?

At some schools such as Clarkson, RIT, and RPI, the course of study chosen by hockey players seems clear, but other schools are tougher to figure. What is the most common major chosen by hockey players at the school you root for, or is there no clear preference?
GETTING BACK TO THE ORIGINAL QUESTION OF THIS THREAD:
At BG it seems like a lot of players major in Sports Management or Business. I think most freshman major in "Undecided!" :D

Re: hockey major?

Complete fail.

"College hockey" is a noun phrase, and in English, the first noun is considered to be a modifier of the second - "college" is simply which type of hockey we're discussing. Hockey is clearly the primary noun in the phrase - by virtue of being SECOND in the phrase.

If I said we were discussing "ice hockey," would you assume that we would primarily be interested in discussing details of the crystallization of dihydrogen monoxide?

Game over. Lynahfan wins.

Let's let this thread die and not feed the 'tard after midnight, ok?
