The Hockey East promotional video they're playing on these broadcasts features the play where Mottau goes down and Niko walks right around him to score. Doesn't get old. :)

Former USCHO-er MikeM expressing surprise that Bigos is still in the game.

Good period for Maine. helps when you spend a quarter of it on the powerplay though. Would really like another goal in the final part of the powerplay. Although the bigger the lead the more it stings when we blow it. So far so good though.....

It's a fixed camera, and the hit was a bit behind the play, along the near boards. Didn't get a good view of it, and there was no replay.

I'm going by Mike Machnik's commentary as much as anything. He was immediately concerned that there might be an injury, and called the major. They seem to think MC is fortunate that they didn't lose Bigos for the night.

Wow, that would have been funny if it hadn't been so dangerous. O'Neill was playing with the puck just inside the blueline and lost it - the thing went *directly* to a MC winger. Almost like, "Aww, I'm tired of this. Here you go. Have an odd man rush."

FWIW, that boarding was definitely 2 minutes. The MC guy had lost his balance and was already going into the boards awkwardly. Bad time / bad decision for Andersson to bump him.
