hockey east ooc thread (2016/17): mookie MIA edition

Re: hockey east ooc thread (2016/17): mookie MIA edition

Something, something the team which scores more goals generally wins except in the 2009 Hockey East Championship where blind refs blew the whistle in their head

Except that goal would've only tied it and since your team didn't score on the multiple power play opportunities afforded in more than half the remaining game, and BU scored that one goal that was more than what you guys scored, your first statement is totally correct!!!! :)

BU's best breakout was a NU line change...

Personally I thought BU's best breakout was when NU decided to give Keller the puck alone in front of Ruck instead of attempting to breakout themselves.

That was in the offensive zone...

I saw that tweet last night and still find it hard to believe that their conference record is that good. I guess I only take notice of the games they lose.

Eh, their 6-7 record in the HE tournament games since they joined also skews our point of view since that program is really struggling to win the big games.

Interesting to look at their last 6 seasons, 3 in HE and 3 in CCHA. They had one CCHA championship and one trip to the Garden and failed to get out of the first or second round in the other two league tournaments in the other 4 seasons. The furthest sample was the year they made the NCAA semis in 2011 (lost) and since then they have not won a single NCAA tournament game. Looking at that you have to think Jackson's job is in jeopardy and Brian Kelly may force him to film football practice from a scissor lift on a windy day.
