I was thinking the same thing when I saw Luke Popko and his team worst -9 rating show up as best defensive forward. Maybe he is BU's best defensive forward, but certainly not in the league.

Also, I'd be shocked if it wasn't Dumoulin and Newton on defense.

well, to defend beaudry, not sure how much he can control that either on a terrible team. i still think hutton will be on there.

if beaudry was 9th in SP you'd have a better argument.

Goalie Stats

He played on a 10th place team that averaged 1.70 goals per game, winning only 10 games. A few of those wins I'd venture to guess the goaltender stole. ;)

What kind of numbers does Beaudry have playing on a better team? That being said, watch Foster get the award, as he led his team to the RS title logging more minutes.

Foster faced just 10 fewer shots (the two goalies are the only in the league to face more than 700), has a lower GAA and a .913 SV% vs Beaudry's .914.

I just love bitter hillbillies. You can tell when March is here and the postseason approaches as the hillbilles get crazy as they know one or (usually) two playoff chokes are on the horizon while bantering about how great their RS title is. Certainly a downside to finishing first in the RS is that it makes their demise all the more hilarious to everyone else!

If you see Chuck M around newfields, tell him I said hello.

I must have missed my post where I said I was overjoyed at a RS title? I was wondering at the end of October if this UNH team would even have a shot at home ice for the quarter finals.

I actually enjoy BC vs UNH games as there tends to be some excellent hockey by both teams. Bitter I don't think so.



I have never had the pleasure of meeting Chuck Murray.:(

Agreed! It's the only time Hockey East resembles the hockey I've seen from the WCHA this year (wide open, clean, no clutch and grab garbage).

Just try to make sure your inferiority complex gets up on the right side of bed tomorrow, ok!? :p
