Re: He's dead, Jim.

Yeah, but it killed her unnecessarily. :(

I hope I don't have a white whale that kills me. I hope I have the capacity at that age to know when enough is enough. When I go, I want to be sipping on a glass of bourbon watching the sunset up north at my (future) cabin at the ripe old age of 92.

If she died happy (bigger picture)...what more can you ask? Just sayin'.

Re: He's dead, Jim.

Did you hear something different? I heard she went in for a procedure on her vocal cords.

In what can only be described as a desperate attempt to warn of the Obama plot, Uncyclopedia's entry for September 4 lists it as "Unnecessary Surgery Day."

I probably heard incorrectly. Or maybe only partially since I hear it was an elective surgery. No idea what she was having worked on. All I know is that she wasn't at a hospital at the time she was in surgery and to me, there's no way in hell that computes.

I'm thinking just age, durability (stress) with her career, and past surgeries just created a bad combo.

Yeah, it was most likely surgery for vocal nodules. It should have been a relatively safe procedure, but I guess not in her case.

I always thought Joan Rivers was hilarious and a decent human being. Terrible to see her go so soon.

Somebody uploaded James Adomian's Joan Rivers story to YouTube, which I think is fantastic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2JopoY6q98E

Not sure what you mean by that. Many simple procedures are done in clinics, not hospitals.

Saved me typing.

Re: He's dead, Jim.

I've only been under once and it was for my wisdom teeth. I wouldn't have gone the GA route but they told me it was far better to do it surgically than wait for them to come in and pull them.

Novocaine does nothing for me. After 4-5 shots of that during a previous cavity thing, they gave up. And the gas is good, but the difference in cost of gas/going under was worth it, under my plan.

Re: He's dead, Jim.

She would have loved this. Well played, Mr. Jones.

From the Comments:
That rap song "Fight the Power" just keeps running through my when I read that comment and yet I'm pretty sure it's the wrong demo for the site.

Re: He's dead, Jim.

I've been put under three times, due to the five (5!) oral surgeries I have been through. I'm glad that people were around for my coming to, because I am hilarious in those moments.

Novacaine worked fine for the other two. It's vicodin that doesn't do a **** thing for me.

Vic and perc make me feel like a 2YO on crack.

After I came to when I was put under, I felt like I was drunk. No coordination. That was a weird feeling. I was OUT of it.

I liked the novacaine experience, honestly. I was totally with it, and could hear all the disgusting sounds. I could feel it, but it didn't hurt. Pretty fun.

Yes, I am twisted, and possess an incredibly high pain tolerance. Great combo.
