The only thing that caught my eye reading the box score was that Rick Schofield had 8 shots last night. He is a dangerous player and NMU needs to keep him off the scoreboard again.

Also for those of you who like that sort of thing, NMU has crept into position to make the NCAA's overnight. You can check out the Bracketology thread for hypothetical matchups.

NMU must avoid the senior night = flat start in the first period.

While I did just do a little excited squeal, I'm going to pretend I didn't see that, and I hope the boys don't know. They need to play like they have everything to lose by not winning, because they do. This game is beyond huge, and 100% a must win situation.

I will predict that upset, no disrespect to Alsaska, but I think the Broncos are playing well right now.
I don't think Bowling Green can go into UNO and beat them, so I will adjust my previous prediction to UNO coming to Marquette.

On one hand, I'm very, very glad we got the bye. Very glad. On the other hand, it scares me, as I'm worried this could be a momentum stopper.

Alaska is playing too good to lose to Western. Could Western and Gill steal a game? Possibly. Can they steal a best out of three in Fairbanks? No.

If NMU hosts Alaska, it will essentially be the winner establishes themselves as an NCAA team, and the loser will most likely be on the outside looking in.

This team is so close, just two-three wins away from a potential NCAA berth, I think the motovation speaks for itself.

I had a dream last night that we made it to Ford Field. I can't believe everything is FINALLY coming together for Walt and the boys. This is something that they've worked so hard for and I'm hoping that this 11 year haitus is OVER!!!

It's unfortunate that you are such a ****.

I've said time and time again that I have changed my tune. You seem to be the only one that has to keep bringing it up.

Not you Billy, there are others (not including the yak BWK) who still may hold onto the same feelings you expressed early this season. Finishing outside the NCAA's again will undoubtedly give them fuel.


Diva: the week off will give the guys a chance to get healthy. Which we do need.


And while we're repenting, I'd like to say that I was wrong back in January calling for the firing (again ;)) of Joe Shawhan after Stewart had a rough outing. Joe has done alot to improve the goaltending this year.
