Here it goes, here it goes, here it goes again--LSSU @ NMU 2/26-2/27

Is spring break next week? If so, will the band be there for Senior Night?

Got an email yesterday about trying to put together an alumni band for this weekend. No idea how big it will be, but there will be a band.

Nice!

I'm working the auction on Friday, but I'll be game for Saturday night.

A very interesting weekend of scoreboard watching is ahead of us. I no doubt expect NMU to take care of their business and a little help along the way would be nice. That meaning, Notre Dame could do everyone a favor and take some points from Michigan. In doing so Michigan would fall to a possible #6 seed and thus NMU would meet Alaska in the second round, barring no upsets. Alaska would be a points bonanza for NMU PWR purposes in the second round...

Correct. No better way in gaining on a TUC than beating them, and we would gain some good RPI points. We really needed Lake State to come away with a win last week, and needed someone to sweep with the MSU/Ferris series, and Miami didnt help us out much either.

What the hell is going on in MQT this weekend that all the hotels are booked solid?

Looking forward to cheering for the Lakers Saturday night... we're coming up from Green Bay and aren't sure if we'll make it in time for Friday.

Can anybody tell me... do they take tickets all game long, or do they stop after a certain point? We already have our tickets bought for Saturday, but might try and stop in late on Friday depending on what time we get in.

I think they stop sometime in the 2nd period, but even then you can get in. The doors are always unlocked.

A friend of Leela's says there is also bouncyball. Got some rooms booked at the Comfort Suites. Looking forward to making the drive Friday morning. :)

Taking a couple friends to the games too; they've never seen a game in MQT. There room in section 16 to innitiate them properly? :D

With all the kids gone I don't think it'll be a problem... not that the crowds this year have been anything close to capacity

It hasn't been hard to score a ticket to NMU hockey for about 10-15 years, outside of one or two games (MTU and Michigan sometimes).

I'm guessing the attendance will be under 3,000 for both nights. The community really doesn't embrace this team like they should.

If we want to move up in the PWR, shouldn't we be rooting for Michigan to beat Notre Dame? Or is my logic flawed since we split with UofM?

Who should we be rooting for in the other games this weekend?

Dave? You seem to be the only one with a firm grasp on how this all works.

You want U of M to lose... They are chasing us in the standings and can pass us for a Bye position...
