Re: Headline News Thread

I have yet to see a Prius doing more than 60, for real. And that was in a 65mph zone.

I had to drive my nephew's Prius when helping him move. The experience wasn't my favorite, but that had more to do with a great many more things than the nameplate. There has to be a better implementation of some of those systems. Also, the engine turning off when stopped at a traffic light was horribly wrong. When you'd start to move again, it feels like you're dropping the clutch on a manual transmission.

Try not to be *********g stupid.

If that is referring to me, not being stupid. Our news channels briefly touch in on world crises, then go back to Trump. Yes, Trump is one of the biggest news stories we've encountered. However, there IS is other news going on. That is my only point.

Sorry. Overreaction. This is tragic.

Re: Headline News Thread

It sounds like a few people are taking political rants literally....

Rep. Steve Scalise, a top House Republican, was in stable condition after officials said he and a handful of others were shot early Wednesday while practicing baseball on a field just outside Washington.
....
Rep. Jeff Duncan (R., S.C.) said in an interview that he and Rep. Ron DeSantis (R., Fla.) left practice early and were stopped by a man asking if the team practicing was the Republicans or Democrats.

“I said ‘Republicans’ and he said ‘thanks’ and walked off,” Mr. Duncan said. He said he believed the man was the shooter.

Maybe it's time for political commentary to refrain from wishing other people dead, merely because they disagree politically?? :(

An officer was stabbed in the Flint, MI, airport today. Officials have not yet ruled it a terrorist act, and think that the police were specifically targeted.

Reports seem to confirm he yelled "Allu Akbar!", or whatever. So he was Muslim, which automatically means "TERRORISM!1!".

If he was white, they'd just say he was mentally disturbed.

Another day, another standard narrative.
