Head Count for Lake Placid

Re: Head Count for Lake Placid

Lets see if your Granddad is Garrity like in Garrity Field I know who you are.

now that would be cool, my sister would cry and my Granddad (Garrity) would stand up in his grave.... although I may not be who you think this is, HA!

Re: Head Count for Lake Placid

Will be there about 5-7 in our party as of now for Oswego. Had our hotel booked about a month ago, staying south this year compared to last time when we were north. Staying at the Econo Lodge...anyone else?

Re: Head Count for Lake Placid

Yea I feel your pain; had to attend a family wedding in Dallas 3 weeks ago; had I not spent $$ for that, would definitely be heading to placid.
Now I'm left with hooking a laptop to the big screen TV and yelling for my guys from Wisconsin!

Re: Head Count for Lake Placid

4 more for Laker Nation, after an early phone call tomorrow morning - will be in battle tunic and with a vocal bunch.

Weather outlook right now looks extremely favorable - upper 50's for daytime, mid 30's at night, and the best phrase yet - DRY.

I have not bought my tickets yet, but I've heard the Blueline club is buying tickets in Section 6. Pretty close to center ice.

The new word for the Blueline club (as per FB anyways) is Sec 8 now - apparently Sec 6 didn't afford enough seats close to the glass. But my crew's got tix in six, so no Lakers fans will be in No Man's Land if they went that way:D.

Did Norwich or SNC fans try focusing in this area?

Re: Head Count for Lake Placid

Absolutely - rolling with a large posse aka Laker Nation...

Not that it matters for those of us who will be there, but I don't see the Semis on Friday on the schedule to streamed by NCAA.com...I recall USCHO pulled together some rubber bands, paperclips and duct tape for a show the last time in LP - is that the best one can hope for in 2012???

USCHO was not involved with that, but we did provide color commentary for the broadcasts. It was an online outfit out of New England, whose name escapes me. I don't know if they wil be involved doing it for ncaa.com (like they did for the semis in the past) or whether ncaa.com will take care of it themselves.

Re: Head Count for Lake Placid

I think its Turner Sports handling the TV.

Courtyard for me. Got reward points to burn.

Strange since the truck used for the finals was parked and set in time for the semis - since streaming is much more mainstream now than it was then, I would expect them to step up....but we shall see soon enough....5 days and counting...

Re: Head Count for Lake Placid

I got 4 in Section 6 as well - up in Row O. That we we can see over the glass, which in my preference anyway. we know that the building won't be full, so there will be opportunities to move around.

Was it Steve Clay's crew?

Re: Head Count for Lake Placid

Three from Elmira. We'll (well at least I) be rooting for Norwich and Oswego on Friday. (My wife pulls for the team with the best looking uniforms and/or players) If both win ... OSU on Saturday.
