i am more excited for this game than our game! i am probably going to sit for the late game with my coat over my head :D

did you get out to watch on nesn today? the post game was previewing and connolly (uscho writer) and mceachern both think pc is a tough draw. "best goalie in hea and maybe best player". whether true or not, hot goalies can carry teams far (see lerg over bc couple years ago).

Seems like we got another battle between the Alliance.

Another goalie battle I'd say. It might just be the first team to score will pull out the W.

Is it Friday yet?

Maybe a "tough draw" but UML will be ready. Plus half the team won't have the flu and Riley Wetmore won't have a broken hand unlike last year's quarterfinals. Probably going to be another Hellebuyck-Gilles dual in net.

Later this week I'll tell the tale of the origins of the Alliance at the 1984-85 HE championships for those who don't know how this all happened.

PC had Terrerri stone BC in one of the early HE Championship games. BC outshot PC like around 4-1.

Yes, we just saw them a week ago versus UNH where we haven't seen them since November. Any team is going to be a tough out regardless. I know we can beat PC though it'll be tough. I don't know how we'd do against UNH.

For PC: revenge from losing the regular season title

For UML: revenge from last year's quarterfinal

uml is sending 2 buses of students, and perhaps more traveling the commuter rail

That was a great time in 84 85. It was my first college hockey tourney and a great one at that. WEAN ran a stick boy contest and I sent in like 100 entries and I won. I wanted to be chosen to be with PC but was given Lowell. It was cool to have locker room access and watch from next to the bench. I still have the autographed stick I got from the team. Jon Morris was on that team if memory serves. That my little piece of the Alliance. The next night's game was epic. NESN, being new and not having much programming, showed the replay about a million times since then seared it into my memory! Army to Rooney...
