Re: He says he's not dead.

I LOVED the old Rhode Island Auditorium - the place was so smokey, you could hardly see the ice.

Marcel Paille was my favorite goalie of my youth.

Here are some of his records:

Most AHL Games Played by a Goaltender, Career - 765
Most AHL Playoff Games Played by a Goaltender, All-Time - 87
Most AHL Playoff Wins by a Goaltender, All-Time - 49
Longest AHL Playoff Shutout Streak - 207:27
Most AHL Playoff Minutes Played, Career - 5,368

Good memories. Sadly, Marcel passed away several years ago. Have you checked out the RI Reds Heritage Society?

Thanks for the link - I remember seeing this website a few years back, but I have not visited lately. I would love to have an old RI Reds sweater - hey, were you wearing one at the Frozen Four in Detroit? If so, I had a fairly long conversation with you in the concourse before Game 1.

Seeing a picture of the old "zamboni" brought back memories - a converted Willys jeep with a steel tub on top - the operator waving to the crowd as he did the ice, flicking cigar ashes in the tub.:D

That was not me in the Reds sweater. Wish I had one. More often than not you will find me in a Providence College jersey though. In a little family trivia, my dad had a hand in designing that Willy's ice machine. :)

Stupid question: Was Natalee Halloway technically eligible for Death Pool 2012? If so, I f*ked up big by not picking her.

I never thought of it, but I guess she probably was. I didn't realize that she wasn't declared dead yet until I saw the recent articles.
