HE Quarters: UML @ Maine

Re: HE Quarters: UML @ Maine

Well Timmay worked his magic again last night.....for another L!!! How many streaks can Maine break while timmay is running the ship a ground!!! Just pathetic that they would re-new his contract, just goes to show even more why both James and him need to be fired, I am glad I didn't waste a plane ticket and miss a golfing weekend for this crap!!! :(

Why don't you buy out his contract?

Re: HE Quarters: UML @ Maine

They paid extra attention to Nyquist, they pounded him every chance they got and it worked well. Maine paid attention to protecting Wilson and it took them out of their game. I expect you'll see more of the same tonight.

So, TIMMAY's 'system' from the last few years.

Funny how a team that's been great offensively all season suddenly can't score to save their lives.

Probably because as Wally reports, Nyquist can barely stand up

Re: HE Quarters: UML @ Maine

and the only way to get the other team to put the puck in their own net, is if Maine puts the puck somewhere in the vicinity of the crease... dumping everything into the corners is not going to do that.... but you knew that.

I was referring to the own-goal Maine inadvertently scored last night, but I should have known not to use subtlety or sarcasm with you around.

I'd like to give you kudos. It's been over half an hour and you haven't deleted this post. Good job!

Re: HE Quarters: UML @ Maine

I knew what you were referring to... and if you somehow had the ability to understand how one thing MIGHT relate to another, you MIGHT have realized that Maine scored an own goal because lowell worked the puck close in, to the maine net.
Maine kept the puck in the lowell corners.

and I had HOPED to give you kudos for avoiding the obligatory ad hominem attack that you political prostheletizers are so well known for.
(those backward south dakotans concur.)

AND since this post really is a personal response and not something potentiall of interest to all, it will get deleted after you read it.
well now i'm saving it for posterity because you're being a dink

You only think you're saving it. He'll run to the admin again and have this whole conversation deleted.

And how would he know when I'd read his post so he could delete it :p

Re: HE Quarters: UML @ Maine

I still do not know what you are referring to... the ONLY time I have ever run to the admin was to note that you continually breach the posting policies by advertising for WebTV in your attemt to make $100 of off any new subscriber who signs up using your number as a reference...

in case you have not noticed, the admins do not seem to listen to me, even though it is THEIR policy.
wink!

I advertise for WebTV?

He certainly has his entertainment value... I can see why board keeps him around :p

Re: HE Quarters: UML @ Maine

So without him, the other 19 guys are useless
basically. when nyquist is on the ice:
a. maine scores about 54 percent of its goals (69 of 127)
b. maine's opponents score about 25 percent of theirs (30 of 119)

thus, inversely, when nyquist is not on the ice:
a. maine scores 46 percent of its goals (58 of 127)
b. maine's opponents score about 75 percent of theirs (89 of 119)

so yes, maine has three lines that can't score very well without nyquist on the ice, and those lines can't stop its opponents scoring either

Yea team, glad to see Wilson finally took some steroids (that is a joke, if you humor impaired individuals need to know) and I am really proud of him-- seriously, a SO after the crap he has taken and lived through for the last couple of years-- and kudos to Timmay for starting him instead of Sirman (sometimes, Mr. Whitehead gets a 'little' stubborn).

Anyway, congrats to Dave, and if we get to next weekend, it would seem that you would have to ride the hot netminder. Just never thought it would be Mr. Wilson.

But, I am a fan. If you dressed Lassie and Rin Tin Tin and they could stop shots, I would say "Play 'em."

Woof.

I always thought he was pretty solid.

I have never seen a goalie suck up shots and not let up any rebounds as well as he does, when he is on his game. (i was never sure of how much that was a funtion of who he was playing against and how much of it was him)

Re: HE Quarters: UML @ Maine

Interesting game, Maine played their bend don't break D and Willie did the rest. Maine certainly played alot harder than last night but I still don't think they played their best. Lowell does a heck of a job on the boards and Maine finally figured out late in the 2nd how to get around them. Hutton saved Lowell big time, Maine could have had several more goals early, he was huge.

Not sure who the pressure is on now, I guess both teams:D

Hopefully all the Lowell fans who showed up shelled out the bucks for hotels rooms:p

Re: HE Quarters: UML @ Maine

Wilson is coming through for us big time. Maine actually played a pretty good game tonight for a change. We'll see what happens tomorrow night.
