Hamilton College coaching vacancy

Re: Hamilton College coaching vacancy

Roll would appear to be the best catch out there right now - at least the biggest name that I've heard. Heenan would be great, but very doubtful that he'd ever leave what he's got going on at Utica.

Has anyone heard any other names for sure, aside from Roll? In looking back on this thread, some names were thrown around, but can anyone confirm who has/hasn't been in for an interview. It'd be a shame to watch all of the momentum the program's had over recently go down the tube. I didn't get to see them play last year, but it appeared they had a young nucleus to build around.

I'm surprised Steve Moffit hasn't applied. Hamilton is a nice school and a good facility. Platts seems set for a long time. He has good recruiting areas too.

Didn't we go over the fact it's Moffat in another thread? :)

Oh Boy. Then I guess he shouldn't apply. Emery will be up there forever. Time he left the nest. I'll bet they pay well too. (I mentioned Emery. How long before the "followers" attack?):D

Stephen C. Moffat earns all of $38,910 as Assistant Coach at Plattsburgh, Bob Emery - $74,468.

That's a good salary for a D-III assistant. If they run a summer camp, does he get any income from that, too?

That's an insane amount of money for an assistant.....We are speaking the low end of 4 digits up @ USM...

That is their base salary - and it is salary, not hourly. That said there must be some ways to earn bonus, such as discretionary awards, or filling in for someone else, as I have seen their "Year-to-Date" exceed their salary, but never by more than a couple thousand. As has been mentioned previously, ALL New York State employee salaries are public information, available at SeeThroughNY.net

Chris Bernard makes $43,000 and is listed as "Lecturer-10 Month" versus Emery's "Head Coach". Tim Crowley is paid $295 bi-weekly.
Ed Gosek makes $73,879.

Rob Habberbush is a great hire. A true gentleman and an established recruiter. Best of luck.

can anyone back this up? i can't find it anywhere else. this is a rather sizable grenade to toss without being able to substantiate it...

Re: Hamilton College coaching vacancy

T Williams left as well. All waiting for official HC announcement.

Ouch, any word where Williams is headed? He was a real heart n' Soul type...it will be a tough year for Hamilton losing two top 6 forwards and perhaps the NESCAC's best player.

If the Army coach is the guy taking over at Hamilton, can we bust out the "Warm up the tanks" chant? :D

Williams, Anderson and Houk, would be devastating losses, but Houk should come back, he is a premier D3 player at an outstanding school. New Coach will build on Bazin's foundation, if recruits are strong like the last two classes and coach is good, they can still contend. For Hamilton's sake, I hope Houk stays.
