NMU has the tiebreaker over Alaska, so Northern needs to win and have OSU lose or tie tonight to clinch the bye this weekend.

Not so fast. Rivalry games for both of us. Anything can and will happen, although LSSU is coming back from Alaska, which should help you. We couldn't string together two good periods together let alone two games. We both split next week, you're in. And, chances are, either way, we may see each other again up in Marquette, providing no first round surprises in A2.

If NMU does secure the 1st round bye it does in fact look like either Michigan or Alaska would be the pairing in the second round if things go according to prediction. Although it looks like Notre Dame will be a party crasher in the 1st round.

We needed to sweep in order to have a chance to get into the NCAA Tourney. I think our only chance now is to take the CCHA Tourney, which will be a tall task.
Disappointing loss last night, but a fun weekend of hockey.

That is far from correct. A sweep of LSSU could move NMUs RPI up as high as 16th which would put them squarely on the bubble heading to the playoffs.
