Some data from the FBI

From Emily Miller on FB..

I did some research on homicide by rifle for those calling for a federal "assault weapon ban." You can see below that the law from 1994-2004 did not reduce rifle murder, which trends with overall gun violence.

By Rifle: 745 = 5% of total gun murders

1992- Total Firearm Homicide: 15,489

As long as you can sleep at night with people being slaughtered on a regular basis with weapons that can shoot a lot and quickly.

Your "data" pretty much supports your total BS Christian front. Good luck when you reach the pearly gates. I suspect they will be locked for you.

To be fair, he didn't say it was right. He said it didn't really change. There IS a difference.

You are better than to respond to facts, even facts that can be challenged, with insults.

Re: Guns For Everyone!: Another Mass Shooting!

“Ex-Republican Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee said a lack of thoughts and prayers is "the single biggest factor" behind mass shootings like the ones that took place in Ohio and Texas, arguing that "passing more laws and pointing more fingers is just rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic" because we will never be able to "legislate the evil out of people’s hearts."

This part is correct. Can't say the same for the rest.

Data is data. You draw interpretations from the data. One fact emerges - while gun homicide deaths are going up, the % by rifle holds steady. The fact that we're killing each other by gun, knife, explosives, etc. is sickening. We have to address the sickness.

What happens when I stand for my Particular Judgment is between me and Christ. Not you.

BIU. Just saying.

Re: Guns For Everyone!: Another Mass Shooting!

Watching CNN, and a survivor is apologizing for crying, because it's "sissy." Makes me mad/sad that he feels he has to apologize for that. Dude, shed tears. It shows you care.

Re: Guns For Everyone!: Another Mass Shooting!

Trump actually giving thought to red flag laws?! I'm treating this as simply noise right now, but if he actually follows through on this...whoa. To say I'd be surprised would be an understatement. FTR, not holding my breath.

She needs to be less vague ;)

After some of the shootings, he makes a statement that would make a normal Republican faint. Outside of the DOJ ruling about the thing used in Vegas (bypassing Moscow Mitch), nothing ever changes and he's off tweeting about immigrants or China 12 hours later.

Re: Guns For Everyone!: Another Mass Shooting!

For me it was Unreal Tournament 1999 Game of the Year Edition. The one with the Redeemer and the ridiculously overpowered sniper rifle.

FIRST BLOOD!

UT2K4 here. Instagib servers all night (pulse rifles only, one hit creates chunky salsa.)

Re: Guns For Everyone!: Another Mass Shooting!

I got (half-jokingly) made fun of for playing UT 1999 in the McNair CS Community, freshman year 2005. There were still tons of players on the UT 99 servers mad about the '04 nuking of certain weapons.

Man the NYTimes blows. I am sure Maggie Haberman is working on her next expose and they are looking for a way to blame Hillary for all of this.

This is the best one:

What you posted just suggests that we should do nothing about guns.

And since nobody has ever come up with ANY solution to mental illness, let alone a realistic one- all you are doing is saying that we do nothing. Just let people die.

Unless you have an actual proposal to stopping the violence.

My proposal continues to be limit the fire rate and limit the rounds in magazines- which will limit the opportunity to get rounds off, thus lowering the number of people dying. Other than some kind of minority report idea, I have no real idea how to address the mental illness. One can't sacrifice a persons other rights, too.

Every time someone does one of these mass shootings, people like you and brent always talk about the shooter not the gun, and have ZERO proposals to do anything about it. So come up with an idea for once. Don't just sand behind some saying, come up with something, even if it's not realistic.

Re: Guns For Everyone!: Another Mass Shooting!

How about some sort of mental health training if you want to own a high capacity semi auto gun?
