Granted RNK is only 1-15 as we do not know. If certain teams move in and or move out could really affect those numbers as well...

I honestly can't figure out Babson in these polls ?? Am I missing something?? I have them at 10-3 once you wash out the D2 games. And their top win is against unranked Amherst ?? I just don't get it. They have played two ranked teams (Norwich & Williams) and lost them both. I have nothing against the Beavers, I just don't see them in the top 10 at all.
Now, if they take two from Boston this weekend, then you could see their lofty ranking. But if I were fans of Williams, Oswego, Eau Claire, St. Thomas, etc.....I'd be asking the same question.

Just to play devil's advocate...take out UMass-Boston's and Norwich's D2 games and their records take a hit as well.
Norwich's "best" win is over Babson who in your argument you don't understand is ranked so high. So then take out UMass-Boston's "best" win over Norwich and you've completely taking all three teams out of the discussion...
See how quickly that can escalate?
Having seen all 3 teams play this year, I assure you that all 3 teams can be worthy of top 10 teams in the country. However, top 5? Idk I'm just under the impression the West is the best this year and everyone in the East sans maybe Plattsburgh is playing for 3rd place.

Taking the KRACH top 16 Eastern Teams record vs Ranked Teams gives some explanation as long as my math is correct. Interesting to note Williams, Trinity, Amherst all have 4 games against ranked teams, with 2 of those games against each other. The next 4 teams out: Middlebury, Elmira, Neumann, Wesleyan could REALLY impact things for teams if they made their way in, especially for teams like Utica.

Just to play devil's advocate...take out UMass-Boston's and Norwich's D2 games and their records take a hit as well.
Norwich's "best" win is over Babson who in your argument you don't understand is ranked so high. So then take out UMass-Boston's "best" win over Norwich and you've completely taking all three teams out of the discussion...
See how quickly that can escalate?
Having seen all 3 teams play this year, I assure you that all 3 teams can be worthy of top 10 teams in the country. However, top 5? Idk I'm just under the impression the West is the best this year and everyone in the East sans maybe Plattsburgh is playing for 3rd place.

I don't have much doubt that there will be two western teams in Maine this spring. It's deserved. I'm predicting two "one-and-in's" with SNC, Adrian, Stevens Point and St. Thomas involved. (note: St. Thomas had better get it together soon). I'll also say that even if Plattsburgh and Norwich don't win their tourneys....there's likely your remaining two Pool C's.....at least for now. Williams will have something to say about that, but I can see them losing a few NESCAC games coming in.
Plattsburgh and Norwich need to lose no more than 1 or 2 of their remaining games and get to their tournament finals and they should have enough juice to get in. Barring a '09 Neumann-like run, I don't see any ECAC West team beating out these two. Babson and Trinity are still hanging in there. Oswego and Geneseo have not gone away either. Great month of hockey coming up !
