The Biden Train is every confirmation I've ever had to sit through. I smell boredom in the pews and sneaking cigarettes and copping a feel outside.

If only McConnell had the balls to convict Trump last January. There could have been sanity this last year.

Amazing that we're awestruck by the sheer boredom of normalcy this event is..
 
Honest to God I thought the band was gonna play Roll Out The Barrel upon those first couple bars after the Pence introduction.

If the 25% cut out are all white supremacists that should leave law enforcement only about half bad. It's a start I suppose.

It is going to ba awesome not to wake up 3/4 of the time and pray out President didn't try and trade Alaska for Greenland and an archipelago named later.

Sure. But what did "the plan" constitute? Just a mass gathering around the building, making reps fear for their lives and vote to throw out electors and install Trump as president for life?

Or an armed invasion of the Capitol, hanging Pelosi and Pence, and holding the rest captive until they consented and threw out electoral votes and made Trump president for life?

The devil's in the details. One gets you probably thrown out of Congress. The other gets you hung.
 
They wanted the first...the mob wanted the second. If the Mob had gotten what they wanted it would not have mattered the details...
