Grand Unified Election Thread 2: What is the difference between Biden and Dump?

Somebody said something on the morning coverage that I agree with. The vote won't be close. It will either be 5 Republicans... or 25. It won't be 15.

There is a landslide of muddy cowards who are flop sweating through this desperate to keep their heads down and try to save their careers. Last night the play seemed to be to vote a mealy-mouthed no and pray it all gets forgotten. Today it is looking more and more like the play is shifting to join a bipartisan impeachment of Dump to save the Republican party's face.

They are deeply, deeply cynical -- it's just a matter of which cynical choice they make to protect their own wrinkled ashes.

I used to believe that it was that they were just cynical and that when the real 5h!t hit the fan, like an insurrection incited by the president and planned by members of the congress, they would be able to find a way to come around. But most of the 140 who voted against accepting electoral results are the real deal. They are true believers in that we need a strongman like trump to make it safe for the white women-folk our there. This country is broken and it sends broken people to congress. The choice they will make reflects that.

25 House republicans is still what, 11 or 12% of their caucus? That means almost 90% of it hates our government and tacitly OKd a coup. If every member of the republican caucus who did NOT vote to overturn the election, something like 70 members, votes to impeach, that might be a start.

At this point it will likely be 5. There is way too much steam on the "they fear for their lives" meme. The Dems are even giving them cover on it...

Thing is, I don't know if they fear people in their own caucus like Crazy Eyes from Colorado as much or more than they fear the mob. Of course in her case they are one and the same...this would be a very scary time to be a no name Rep in the GOP because if you try and make a name for yourself by voting yes you risk your life. If you keep your head down and vote no you likely lose a ton of money and party support in the near term.

With the info that is around (apparently), the number of House members involved sounds to be many- and given the evidence, the chance of them being expelled seem pretty good. If the FBI can connect them directly with illegal acts, then the recent press conferences suggest they will be prosecuted, too.

lol. they won't be prosecuted. They'll probably be reelected in two years.

The number is going to be closer to 5. Reports are there are more that want to vote to impeach, but don't want to put themselves or their families in danger from the Trump cult.

It's true that in the House there are over a hundred Republican Members who are literally as stupid as their constituents. Guys like Goser and Goemert are every bit the toilet chum as the typical registered Republican.

The Senate is different. Those guys aren't the inmates, they're the screws -- those are the witting manipulators who are fleecing the derps in the full knowledge of what they are doing. Cruz and Hawley are educated. They are playing roles. They aren't going to get caught up in the insanity that they created -- they are calculating machine.

I was listening to “Gaslit Nation” Jan 5 episode and it’s chilling. She said, there’s going to be some kind of dramatic violence in the next 48 hours, possibly involving Proud Boys, and Trump will blame Antifa. After that, watch out. We are experiencing a coup attempt.
Journalists were more prepared than the National Guard.
I’m so disappointed in counterterrorism agencies.

We have no way of knowing. Let it play out.

I am happy with 5 if that is all that comes about. Any *>0 will lead to civil war in the party which is what I want. The margins in the House scare me and the last thing we need is the GOP to coalesce because they could make a play in 2 years. I want the coming GOP heavy weight fight.

the Cheney Faction vs. The Trump Faction will ensure a Dem House majority in 2 years.

National Guard Was Called Up

It isnt the Guard that deserves your disappointment, it is the Pentagon who held them back. I wonder why they did that...

(I really hate sounding like a conspiracy theorist)

Hey Debbie, shame your POS is trying to do a coup with just seven days left
