Grand Unified Election Thread 2: What is the difference between Biden and Dump?

It is absolutely not the case these people are all unemployed losers. On the school centric forums I post on all of the posters lamented the fact that there was a "God, Country, Notre Dame" flag seen in photos of the insurrection. MAGAts are not some monolithic paint-by-numbers redneck.

What we need to see, and what we will not see, is an overwhelming criminal justice response to this attempt to overthrow the government. If we don't draw the line right here and right now, then the next time the insurgents will go further. Recall how up in arms we were when some congressman couldn't hold his tongue and blurted out "you lie" when Obama told the truth about something in a State Of The Union speech? How many hundreds of miles further down the road are we now?

Since the early 90s (or maybe the late 80s and the beginning of the growing popularity of nation-wide, right wing nut-job talk-radio) we have been moving in precisely this direction. With every passing year, with every subsequent administration, it has gotten worse. We've seen quite a few steps to the bad in just the last year, with actual credible plots to kidnap a governor. And now the violent storming of the Capitol to thwart the functions of our government.

The police yesterday needed to use whatever force was necessary to clear the Capitol and stop the rioting. There should have been mass arrests of insurgents. And if it meant using overwhelming lethal force, sadly, that would have been entirely justifiable. It appeared that, at least after the rioting started, very little deadly force was necessary. And who knows, perhaps the one rioter who was shot and killed served as a cautionary tale for the some of the rest. Remember, these people WANTED the violence and the war. I shed zero tears for anyone hurt or killed.

We have a choice as a country. We can demand that the laws are followed. All the time, and by everybody. Or we can let this all get worse. What if the Capitol Police and other law enforcement weren't complicit and instead they were just incompetent? The next time their complicity will mean members of congress don't just get scared and scrambled. The next time Speaker Pelosi or maybe some RINO like Mitt Romney gets killed. We're heading down that road. Unless things change and that line is drawn it will happen.

Not wrong in theory...

But I don't see a solution that doesn't devolve into a legit Civil War.

How do you punish those here?
- Doing so fuels the fire that the D's are actually the ones that are "Authoritarian". The images of the pitiful white protesters become propaganda that is fed into the echo chamber. This then riles up the Dumpies for their revolution, and then the cycle repeats.
- They also own the cops and military. They will always have a insider to unlock the front gate for them.

This is a deep rooted problem that there is NOT an easy fix for and we very much could be looking at several years of violent conflict ahead.

Congress can and should impeach today. That will root out those who don't want a Democratic Republic- they can be thrown into jail.

Yes, there will be violence, but it will be directed toward people who not only have guns, but the legal means to use them.

Hopefully, but I think there will be people
all to happy to give them another job.

I saw something pretty disturbing yesterday on Twitter yesterday, a girl said she knew one of the guys and it was someone who went to good schools and had a good job. I think most of us assume these are all unemployed losers but unfortunately I’m not sure that is the case.

I don't think anyone here assumes these guys are unemployed losers. I know I don't. Losers, absolutely. Unemployed? No. And that's why I know this is just the beginning. One of those asswipes yesterday said something about next time he'd see a policeman from 600 feet away. The inauguration better take place in a secret indoor location as I truly believe these idiots are going to take a potshot at either Biden or Harris because they believe that doing that means Trump stays as President. This has nothing to do with "economic anxiety." These people are deranged and deranged people do not need to be unemployed. They should be, but they're out there amongst all of us.

I worry that there is no amount of deprogramming that can be done to save them. I don't even think Trump going on live TV saying he doesn't care about any of them would work.

Just saw news that of the 52 arrests yesterday, 46 were from breaking curfew.

Seriously.

Thousands of people break into the Capitol Building, tearing things apart, and maybe 6 get arrested???? What in the world is that?

Let alone the thousands of people who were out after 6pm, and only 46 of them got arrested.

Oh, to be white in this country. If this does not open our eyes to our own benefits, nothing will.

So several years of violent conflict, likely to be increasingly violent conflict, anyway? I say we go all in and we go right now with every legal hammer we can wield. It isn't like we have been putting OUT the fire for the last 25 or 30 or 40 years. Not to sound too much like the 2002 version of Condoleezza Rice but I don't want the smoking gun to be an all out assault on government the first time Biden speaks to a Joint Session. If the police and the military actually are controlled by traitors we don't deserve to survive as a country anyway.

Trump wsa just permanently banned from Facebook

Did he ever post himself on Facebook like he does on Twitter? While I know it's easier to see his tweets, I've never seen any FB posts. I figured what posted on FB would be a Trump account, not his actual FB page.

Rep Jake LaTurner from KS, who voted in favor of insurrection and refused to wear a mask, has tested positive for COVID. He spent all day on the floor.

If you let them go, it will be worse next time. The FBI and Biden's DoJ knows that, and hopefully they will prosecute any and all lawbreakers from yesterday's events accordingly and to the fullest extent possible.

Yeah I dont see any way a new DOJ doesn't make an example out of some of them. The people who posted pictures from Pelosi's office, the ones bashing in windows...you best find a way out on 1/20 cause that is not going to go well for you. When that clown from the Blaze (who posted a picture of emails on Twitter from Nancy's office) is gonna cry like a ***** when he lead away. His posts on Parler will be must reads.

Crossing Twitter is like crossing the Mob. They kill you. They kill your spouse. They kill your family. They kill your dog. They kill anyone who pretty much ever had any contact with you.

I have no problem with Twitter outing these clowns, and if as a result, they lose their jobs, any standing they had in the community, end up divorced, or whatever. They made the bad decision.

I fear the backlash to the extent it spreads to others, like family members who weren't there.

I normally am not for doxxing...but when people are committing a federal crime (which every single one of them was) then it is not only justified but it is righteous. I was honored just to have Keith Ellison giving me the opportunity to tour the Capitol (which is the only way civilians are allowed) and watching terrorists spit all over it made me physically ill.

Noted scum ken Paxton is announcing its been confirmed it was all antifa yesterday.

there’s no bottom. No end in sight. This is the Republican Party and you’re a part of when you vote for any of them- even Susan Collins against those darn outsiders or your local dog catcher
