I was listening to CNN earlier tonight. He kept saying garbage like "These claims may have some merit, but trump needs to stop blah blah blah"

I almost threw my phone after the third time. The rest of the people on that set should should made it absolutely clear that what he was saying was nonsense and dangerous.

The GOP quietly gained the upper hand in statehouses across the country, including flipping the entire legislature in NH, once again in time for redistricting. Democrats didn’t fall asleep this time. The Senate is likely to stay red. The GOP made gains in the House. In their minds, they don’t need to pivot.
