Grand unified 2020 election thread

I'm seeing the same from numerous people. Not in the bag yet, but I'm hopeful. Getting the Senate because of Georgia is probably too much to ask but at least it's still in the mix.

I think that honor belongs to AZ.

I bet Donnie wishes he'd been a lot nicer to John McCain right about now. Cindy McCain has probably been drunk on champagne for two days straight.

‘Imagine if the Cowboys or Patriots found extra points in the locker room.’ Great analogy by some guy on Fox News just now.

The only sports anology you're going to find is a meme of an Atlanta 28-3 lead scoreboard yelling "Stop the Count!"

Imagine if we stopped the games at 59:00 instead of 60:00. Further imagine the team is at the 1 or 2-yard line w/ a 1st down. Further imagine it's not the Vikings.

That's the better analogy.

Hard to imagine the emotional roller coaster she's had over the last week.

If both states come through, the difference in the whole election may very well be due to the lives and character of John Lewis and John McCain, and the way they were disparaged by Dumpie to the outrage of their fellow human citizens. That's an additional burnish on their legacies.

No it isn't.

Better analogy was what my cousin(a huge Pats fan, named his son Brady) posted on Facebook Wednesday morning. "Democrats be feeling like the Atlanta Falcons right about now"

I replied back, "No, Democrats be feeling like the Patriots"

Also, the Seahawks with Pete Carroll not coaching.

The visiting team scores to take the lead but the home team won’t allow the scoreboard to be updated.

Geofrey Skelley at 538:

Over the past half hour or so, nearly 23,000 votes have come in from around Pennsylvania, and Biden has won about two-thirds of them. As a result, Trump’s lead has waned to about 90,500 votes, or about 1.4 percentage points (50.1 percent to 48.7 percent). A two-to-one ratio actually isn’t that great for Biden at this point, but that split had a lot to do with getting some votes from deeply Republican counties. Even then, though, Biden managed to break even in the latest batch from Tioga County (Trump has 75 percent overall there) and win around 63 percent of the latest from Crawford County (Trump’s at 71 percent overall). Bluer Lehigh County also came in with a sizable number of votes.
And critically, none of this involved votes from Philadelphia County. This is probably our final update on the numbers ahead of a press conference, scheduled for 5:15 p.m. Eastern, held by Pennsylvania Secretary of State Kathy Boockvar, who will be providing an update on where things stand with the count.

Margin went up in PA but the overperform went DOWN. Means biden did really well in that last drop in a fairly trumpy area.

Media has to love the way this turned out. Everyone tunes into the horserace, one not created by them, but by the GOP due to their state legislatures requiring mail-in ballots not counted until Election Day in tipping point states like Pa. Easy punching bag, more ratings.
Another random thought: Pat Toomey is a complete, utter dumba—.
