4-0-1 at the DRECC lately for the Gophs. Maybe we want to come back up for the first round.

Goes to show this team was recruited for the olympic sized sheet but is better suited for a standard sized rink (although the DECC is even smaller yet). Maybe it would be good to change Maricucci to 200' by 85'.

Yeah. Minnesota is kinda slow for an Olympic sized sheet.

Don't know about that. The Gophers convincingly swept CC, a team that is certainly better on Olympic rather than NHL ice, just last weekend at Mariucci.

Man they outplayed the Gophs by a mile tonight. Kangas did well to keep it to just 3 (well 2 while he was in).

When MN fails to get the first goal, it's a guaranteed loss. They simply sag after they fall behind.

I think everybody wants to face CC in the first round - which is a shame because MN can't face them thanks to the results of this weekend.

I don't think MN played well at all in the second game of this series - they couldn't pass the puck to save their lives, and they couldn't convert on several golden opportunities. Hjelle was giving them the top corner to shoot at by starting to drop early, and MN didn't bother to shoot high when he did that (or when they did, they hit the post). From about the midway point of the game on, MN simply stopped skating/trying. I'd say I'm surprised, except for the fact I've seen them do it at least a dozen times this season.
