Golf thread

That is one of the funnest parts about the Masters' practice rounds -- the players skipping shots across the pond on 16. They are really, really good at it.

We have a pond here that’s somewhat like that. We take stabs at it like they do there. Yes it’s difficult. Went through many balls until I finally did it.

Re: Golf thread

Bernard Langer, who got his start under Kaiser Wilhelm, is currently in third place at Augusta.

No word on whether Byron Nelson is in the top 10.

Nelson is even par. He hasn’t hit a bad shot yet.

Doing it in January in North Dakota is just not the same, icehawk.

Re: Golf thread

Tiger with an incredible shot on 14 and drains the putt for a birdie. He has as a good of a chance as anyone to win this thing

Re: Golf thread

The tv ratings should be through the roof this weekend with Tiger only one back. Only thing that could be a negative is the weather

And the weather is going to be yucky, I believe. At least bad weather and green conditions treat the leaders equally after the cut.

Re: Golf thread

A bit of wind and rain is always good for the Masters. Augusta National is hardly the toughest course on the circuit.

Only problem would be lightning.

Re: Golf thread

The look on Tiger's face the last few holes makes me wonder if he's hurting again.
