You've earned it.

I, for one, give Flag credit. Were it not for him, I would not have discovered that government agents are removing wax from my ears while I sleep at night. Thanks to his tireless investigation, I have the blogs to prove it.

Intelligence sources have publicly and strategically revealed that Prime Minister Cameron has given the SAS ‘carte blanche’ to hit ISIS where they live, in response to the 30 British citizens that were killed by an ISIS gunman in Tunisia on June 26th.
FYP But still a ridiculous situation. This administration has no interest in wiping out ISISWe're training 60 fighters to battle ISIS. I hope they're super soldiers.
President Obama's $500 million plan to raise an army of Syrian rebels to fight the Islamic State horde is falling far short of its target, attracting only a few dozen recruits to the cause.
"As of July 3, we are currently training about 60 fighters," Defense Secretary Ash Carter told lawmakers Tuesday.

Just wondering: what's the recommendation of secdef, the joint chiefs, and State?
This administration has no interest in wiping out ISIS
Neither will the next one. Or the one after that. For the foreseeable future the raison d'être of any American administration of either party will be fighting Islamic terrorists. The American people do not demand accountability from their politicians. We allow the same broken system to keep replacing the current crop with the next harvest. Mark my words, the youngest people on this forum will be celebrating the births of their grandchildren and we will still be mired in the middle East. The powers that be have finally perfected the concept of endless war.
The sad thing is if you asked the public they'd want us to keep fighting the Forever War. That consent has been manufactured for 50 years now. People have forgotten how to be free, so they're all just cowering in their suburbs or their prepper fantasies.
Knowing when to quit is wise and brave, and the public is neither. Americans aren't citizens. They're consumers.
Once we get off of our dependence on middle east oil, there is no reason for the US to be in the Middle East anymore aside from some special forces and drone targeting capabilities. Get all troops out and let China or Europe deal with the place if they want their oil to continue to flow. While I don't have the figures in front of me, we're a lot closer than most people think. US + Canada + Mexico might generated maybe 75% of our oil needs right now? Drive that up to 100% and say "see ya later". While some would say we need to stay there for Israel's sake, Israel has proven capable of defending itself and currently has no desire to acheive a peace deal with the Palestinians, so again no reason for us to be around.
That's not how a global commodities market works. It doesn't matter where the oil comes from, only the net supply. If the Middle East goes into chaos (I mean, even worse) and the price of oil shoots back up, and the oil that originates from the US and Canada pulls in a windfall, only the oil companies that own those reserves reap a windfall. We poor suckers just pay more, whether we're in Burbank or Beijing. "Energy self-sufficiency" would only matter if the oil reserves were nationalized, like during WW2. It's a great strategic advantage if that happens, but under normal market conditions it means bupkis.
I can't verify the truth of this report, but certainly would like to think that it is true.
