Hersh strikes me as a guy who's been living off the one thing he did right 45 years ago (the Mai Li Massacre - sp?). I can't take anybody seriously who things Opus Dei is running the Special Forces. Even Dan Brown hasn't put that in his books, and his are purely fictional novels.
The only reason this is even getting published is its journalists fluffing a fellow journalist no matter how mentally ill that writer might be. I say again, this is what the mainstream media has become. I expect CNN to be all over this shortly.

So, apparently the firm I joined is big in the military/industrial/intelligence revolving door community. Seems like every announcement on their intranet is about some retired admiral or intelligence geek joining the firm to then help them win more government contracts.

I don't work in that part of it. Our office is engineering/architecture. Mostly for local and national manufacturing firms. Our closest contact to that stuff might be for building at an air base or something.

A rare bit of good news (maybe) in the Forever War. We may actually claw back a tiny fraction of our pre-9/11 dignity as a free people.
Part of me would like to just see the whole thing expire. The ensuing Nothing Happens would be an opportunity to roll the whole sorry project back.

The world's top 10 militaries.
The list is pretty much as you'd expect with the US and allies outweighing Russia/China. IMO Europe's budget is decent...but appears to include too much spending on navies rather than air, land.
