Muslims get to broadcast call to prayer on Duke Campus.

If Christians wanted to broadcast something that students across campus would have to listen to as they walk around, people would have a hissy fit that religion was being imposed on people. Can't wait to hear what the freedom from religion crowd has to say about this one.

Duke is a private university, yes? Why would I care what a private school does or does not do with regards to prayers?

I didn't know Muslims were not allowed to tell time. Why do they need a call to prayer at all?

I'm not for or against it. Just makes no sense they need something to tell them when to pray.

The bell tower of the campus church at my law school chimed whenever mass was about to begin. And not a single fark was given

Church bells and the adhān also have another thing in common: they are a lot cooler to listen to than a group of Nahant girls working out where they're going to pass out that night.

If you read the article, this is being done using a chapel's tower. Why would anyone give a crap that a religious building is doing something religious?

Belgium Antiterror Raid Leaves Two Suspects Dead: Move Disrupts ‘Imminent’ Terrorist Plot, Belgian Authorities Say

BRUSSELS—Belgian police killed two people in a firefight Thursday evening in the process of disrupting an “imminent” terrorist plot, Belgian authorities said. The group included people who had returned from Syria, possibly fighting alongside Islamic extremists there, the authorities said.

Belgian authorities said the suspects were believed to be plotting an attack against the police. When they went to execute the search warrant in Verviers, the police were met with automatic gunfire. They also arrested one person uninjured after exchanging gunfire.
