Re: Ginding away- stop putting sand in my oil... Part 4

:mad::mad:Mr les job is grinding my gears. The schedule was set some time ago. Nothing on Thanksgiving. I planned what needed to be done accordingly. He shows up tonight and oops there is work on Wed early AM and Thursday as well. Of course he will have time to go out with his buddies Wenesday night. I meanwhile will be running my fing but off getting all the stuff done that he would have been helping with. I am so pi55ed off I think my head might asplode. To decide to change the schedule within a few days of a holiday is ridiculous. To roll over and take it more than ridiculous. Sometimes I wonder if the concept of family holiday will ever be important in our house to anyone but me.

FTD sucks. Tried to send flowers to a funeral today. It was the weekend when I ordered so called so I would know they got it right. They promised delivery to the funeral home by 9. Funeral is at 10. I gat a call at 11:15- they were unable to deliver. I ask for the Stupidvisor. Can they send it somewhere else. UNHAPPY but I settle on sending it to my bro and SIL house. I give the info. They will call and apologise and deliver to them. Get a call 30 min later- They don't deliver there- is there another address? Sure, let me tell them to move so you can deliver the flowers. No there is no other address. Then they want to Fed Ex it. I tell them no. It is a 'garden arrangement'. VT is very cold and I have no idea when they will be home. It could freeze. I tell the guy to call another florist with another service in the area and have them deliver fix it because you screwed up. Hold for 10 minutes to hear again there are no FTD florists. Again I tell him I don't care- use another florist and fix it. He says he will.

A few hours later I get a confirmation email that they have Fed Ex'd the arrangement to the address with the recipient being the DEAD PERSON from the funeral. So now they are resurecting people?? I wasn't home when the email came. Called this evening. 2 supervisors later, still not in this country, and the guy is trying to tell me they can't cx the order because I agreed to go forward with the Stupidvisor this AM. I got a 10$ coupon for my distress.

I go ballistic. I somehow do not believe I have agreed to send flowers to the DEAD PERSON, who is now in the ground to my SIL address. I refused the order and the guy just went ahead anyway. WHat good is a 10$ coupon when I have no intention of ever using FTD again? Long pause on phone. He agrees to cx the order (not holding my breath). He thinks I am unreasonable because I should understand I need to send it to another address. Maybe I should find the plot # in the cemetery???

I repeat~ FTD SUCKS!

I had a Facebook status about this but I'll say it again here. Public restrooms that do no have warm water to wash your hands.

One of my good friends had the same issue when trying to send flowers, albeit for a happier occasion. He told them they could go fornicate themselves with a fork for all he cared.

The labeling of every new cocktail variation a "martini." Did all bartenders (excuuuuse me, mixologists ) lose all creativity? Just put your latest concoction in a martini glass and give it some variation on the name martini rather than come up with a new presentation and/or new name.

ProFlowers and 1800Flowers are just as bad. Both have ruined Valentine's Day for me in the past. I've learned the only way to get guaranteed success is just just suck it up, plan ahead, and go directly to the local florist in advance.

Group text messages. Especially on Thanksgiving and Christmas. Yes it's nice to have someone wish you a happy Thanksgiving or a merry Christmas, but please don't send it out as a group message where my phone then blows up all day from people, who I don't know, replying to said message.

I'd kill someone if they did that. I'm one of those cheapasses who only has the 200 texts for $5 a month as opposed to the unlimited for an extra $10 a month. Seriously, stabbing would ensue.

I sent out a group message, but since I have a dumb phone, the replies only come back to me. :D

The ferry I'm on right now. Mostly families and people who have been drinking.

I think I'm just bitter. They had fun today and I went to work. I'm having some scotch when I get home.
