Re: Ginding away- stop putting sand in my oil... Part 4

People who accept meeting requests then are not ready to start the meeting on time.

I know you're busy, guess what, so am I! I have a client appointment later today and I need this meeting to come off smoothly and on time. The two ****weeds in NYC are not there, ready to go on time.

This one goes out to all you runners/walkers who refuse to use sidewalks.... Y'all can die in a fire....

Every morning, there are 3 older ladies who walk through my neighborhood... As already mentioned, they do it in the street... They walk side by side...

This morning, as I am coming up on them, we all encounter a couple of parked cars on the street as well... Well these women decide to keep walking 3-wide as they move around the parked car... With cars on both sides of the street, they take up 1/2 of the lane between the parked cars... There were several parked cars lined up....

Call me a ***** for doing this, but today as I pulled up on them while they did this, I honked at them... I got death stares from all 3 as they begrudgingly moved aside...

Sorry, but there are sidewalks throughout my entire neighborhood... All are in great shape, and there is no snow... USE THEM! I think I am gonna keep honking at them till they get the point...

Re: Ginding away- stop putting sand in my oil... Part 4

See the problem here is that you honked. If you just would've run them over they would've got the point and you wouldn't have gotten the death stare.

No, he would have gotten the death stare...just for an entirely different reason...

I completely agree. I heartily dislike people who don't use the sidewalk.

Previews on DVDs. Even worse? When you are not "allowed" to FF through them or skip them.:mad::mad::mad:

I'll go a step further; ads on DVD's for the soundtrack of the movie you are about to watch, or for video games based on it.

I've seen it where you can't skip them but you can fast forward through them. Never complete block.

Who did that?

Re: Ginding away- stop putting sand in my oil... Part 4

bureaucracy grinds my gears. I will summarize my story by saying I asked for a new office chair, and it had to be approved by at least 2 managers, and requires opening several requests as well as scheduling an ergonomic assessment of my workstation to evaluate my chair needs. I expect to actually receive my chair sometime in 2015 (just my personal estimate - they'd probably say 2017 to give them some wiggle room).

I hear Office Max has nice chairs. I might go buy one. :p

Happened to my girlfriend at her office too. She skipped a few steps and bought herself a moveable desk (one that goes up and down), but needed a few people to look at it, confirm it was okay, and to install it (set it on the desk and move her computer). I get one person making sure it's not too heavy, but it seemed like quite a fuss.

That blows. I told my boss a week or two ago that when I first started working at my current location my chair was killing my back. Even though I had a perfectly fine chair now, she still asked if I needed to get a new chair. I love my boss and I love my company.

I moved cubes at work. Please stay tuned. :p

While in the Air Force, one of my assignments was to write scripts for lessons that were being converted from live lectures to video. I had a script returned by a colonel, with the notation "UNA". Well, none of us knew what UNA stood for, so we looked it up in the Air Force Dictionary. UNA, it turns out, stood for "use no abbreviations." I kid you not.
