Re: GET IN THE VAN! Michigan Tech 2009-10 Season Thread, Part Deux

I noticed on the sign board as I was arriving at work that MTU's President Glenn (forgot the last name, but it was short :) ) is visiting our laboratory today. I don't know any details. He certainly isn't here to see me. :D

This just reminded me of Akins trying to showboat after a goal by jumping into the boards by the Misfits and then absolutely failing by bouncing off and falling down. :D

Pretty goal, classic celebration.

But as long we're posting videos one of my favorite.

I meant for the hockey team not the Misfits;). What the ****, has anything got to do with Vietnam? What the **** are you talking about?
Yeah, Yager has this thing where he thinks its cool to make fun of Vietnam vets.

Royer and BUNGERRRRRRRR were the two injuries I noticed. I'm not sure on their status. Maybe someone who listened to drive time will be able to fill us in...

I'm attempting to listen right now, but it seems that JumpTV is partially down. Go figure.

  • Kivisto got a pretty hard shot to the foot late in Saturday's game during a PK and limped off but not sure how serious.
  • Bunger got it HARD, helemet popped off from the hit right in front of the Misfits. We saw him out of hockey gear walking to some seats with 2 non-dressed players probably 15 minutes later.
  • Royer was out earrrrly in Friday's game.
  • Then there are Gwilliam and another (forgot who) that were battling sickness. Gwills played Friday any way but did not play Saturday.

Saw Royer and BUNGERRRR both today, they both looked fine. Nielsen, I believe, was also I'll.

Someone has autocorrect on. Posting from the blackberry?

I wouldn't worry too much about the injury situation right now. Everyone who is sick should be better by the time they go to Mankato. I would bet that Bunger got taken out of the game in case of a mild concussion or something along those lines, so he'll be fine for Mankato (since he doesn't play for the Wild he won't have a neverending concussion ala Burns, Bouchard and Sykora ). Royer was on crutches after the game on Friday, but if he's walking around he should be fine. I'm pretty sure I saw Kivisto today and his foot definitely wasn't broken, so he should be good to go too.

Good catch, CP. You are correct, posting from the crackberry, in my calc exam room, which BUNGERRRR should be arriving at any moment.

I actually caught it because I know mine doesn't autocorrect "ill" to "I'll". But mine seems to be retarded, so it doesn't really surprise me...

My Blackberry does what I tell it to, it knows who's boss.

Mike Babcock was interviewed the other day. Apparently there is going to be a rule change in the NHL next year, to limit the blows to the head because concussions are becoming too prevalent, watch for college hockey to follow suit.
