Re: GET IN THE VAN! Michigan Tech 2009-10 Season Thread, Part Deux

Holy hell I drive home, sight and clean my gun and this ****er explodes with pictures of me with my head in a bucket, never finish off a bottle of hundred proof peppermint schnapps again!

Wow this sounds like the beginning of a bad relationship.

I am not testifying.

Re: GET IN THE VAN! Michigan Tech 2009-10 Season Thread, Part Deux

I don't think it counts as skiing when you're doing it on a bunch of snow cones laid down on a dirt bump on the border of Wisconsin and Michigan, and could go naked without getting cold ;)

It was actually pretty good skiing...1 full run (no cones) and a mini-park (2 rails and 3 good size boxes...)

Though I will admit it was weird going up the chairlift with no snow underneath...

Yep.

Let someone else take the last shot. :D

I skiied Ripley last spring when it was all slush, and if I hadn't just bought new skis it wouldn't have been worth the waxing hell that resulted from skiing on that crap. I can only image how dirty your skis are right now ;)

Too bad mel gets supplementary shots from her MN brethren.

Which reminds me, I need to find out if she's still craving the Grain Belt Premium. Great cheap beer. Perhaps the greatest cheap beer ever. :)
Absolutely. :)

I need to go grocery shopping next time I'm home. I want some things I can't find here - Ambassador hot dogs (if they're still around), Top The Tater, more Premo, Mich Golden Light, and some other home grown things I can't think of right now, most likely more Minnesota beers.

This is true.

It's about time you show up here.
I definitely did that schnapps bit during Orientation week. However, it was half a bottle straight in an hour. One of only two times that I've puked.

Wow, you're both lightweights - perfect for each other. :p

Idk, Bye's been pretty tough this year, but I think Tech can pull it off.

I heard over the summer that Bye U decided not to renew coach Rhode Cohen's contract. Rick Wahl graduated, leaving them with untested netminders Barell and Sawhórs, both of whom have both struggled to adjust to the grind of the WCHA. That said, I'm cautiously optimistic about Tech's chances this weekend. :)

Dam straight.

I think that when she said "schnapps" she meant "100 proof death". Just FYI. ;)

That may be, but the Ohranj-Pye-Lonne line is finally on the ice again, and they're truly game-changers. Amazing how Carr was never punished for taking them all out.

Beer is finally growing on me, but I prefer liquor. I have a vast taste for liquor though. $13 liters of Captain in Duluth may have been the highlight of the trip. Straight vodka's doable.

Re: GET IN THE VAN! Michigan Tech 2009-10 Season Thread, Part Deux

Sorry, I don't understand the appeal of drinking sugary mint liqueur like that just straight up. Unless you have a vag and can't drink real booze. :p

Well, it's fine for a Winter Carnival beverage. For instance, one year I made hot chocolate using nothing but (mint, cacao and butterscotch) schnapps and the premix powder. :D

Otherwise I agree, beer or real liquor.

Straight vodka... blech.

By "skiing" I mean snowboarding, it's easier to say then boarding and I don't sound like a d-bag...but anyway.

It's not too bad, considering I never got my board redone after all the slush crap at Ripley last spring, so it was pretty dirty before I even left this morning.

Well, if you're being a weeny and paying someone else to do it
Then again, waxing a snowboard period is a royal pain, much less after its covered in grime

Skied Ripley? Do you have an effing death wish?!

I would do it myself but I'd rather pay someone else to take care of the grime...

I have a member of Ripley Ski Patrol in my house, so he's offering to do everyone's stuff cause he has access to all tools and wax and such...but I don't blame him for not wanting to do my grime covered board.
