They are a part of that cluster of parasites who run the world bank or the IMF or Fortune 500 companies and even big NGOs and non-profits. They prostitute their institutions for funding, which compromises the possibility of resistance to the ruling class. The early and mid 20th C put the wind up the wealthy as their rule was being seriously challenged by democratic and egalitarian bodies, so they moved to colonize or kill them: academia, media, science, religion, international aid, international diplomacy, arms control. All captured now.
