Re: Gear Grinding Part 5: The Story of the Broken Tooth

I need new friends. I have conversations with food activists and organic-everything lovers frequently, and one comment I'm hearing recently is "pictures like the one that says 'Share A Coke' with diabetes, craving, and allergies' are meant to educate."

Lady, I know that pop is generally unhealthy. But when you say that, all I hear is "I'm a nanny-state elitist who doesn't like the fact that people are drinking pop. Even though you chose to spend your $2 on a Coke, I'm going to sit here and wag my finger at you."

Re: Gear Grinding Part 5: The Story of the Broken Tooth

Meh. I'll believe it when I see it rather than a bunch of terrified housewives trolling through the Internet after watching Dr Oz.

*gasp* How dare you question Dr. Oz the great and powerful?! His flying Oprah monkeys are probably on their way to your house now to jam acai berries and green superfood smoothies down your throat.

**** or I'll cram a bag of green coffee down your throat

I gave a gleeful little giggle when congress slapped his wrist

Were you happy he got off lightly?
No but I was surely glad they exposed him for the shyster he is. Nothing worse than seeing a patient quoting that buffoon about something that is not right. Or buying the BS he sells about wt loss and various supplements. Now I can just mention congress slapped him up side the head and move on

I don't think I'd trust congress to be right either. This is like OJ Simpson saying that Charles Manson is kind of a bad guy.

Ok, whew. For a second there I thought you were celebrating the fact that he only received a stern warning...

Nope. The guy is the lowest form of life. Sworn to do no harm and pedaling his influence to do just that.

Re: Gear Grinding Part 5: The Story of the Broken Tooth

I volunteer at a cat rescue shelter (no kill), and I'd like to beat the crap out of irresponsible pet owners who dump their cat in our yard or at our door. Today, my boss and I rolled up to the shelter to find a kitten in a box that was taped shut, with no food and no water.

If you need to relinquish your cat, we have open hours. Come out then... at least your pet will be taken in by one of our supervisors, who will start the paperwork on it and make sure it is taken care of.
