See rant in Lodge about work today. Job searching is starting to kick into high gear.

A small grind, but:

When you have two numbers left on a level 4 Sudoku and realize it's wrong. Pretty sure I know where it went wrong but it happened way too far back to try to retrace the steps.

Re: Gear Grinding Part 5: The Story of the Broken Tooth

This thread was MADE for small grinds. Not necessarily the big, life-changing horrible things that happen, but those pesky little things that bug you for stupid reasons.

Well the first time I posted in here it was for people not rooting for their own country during int'l sporting events and I got sh*t on for it being super trivial. Just wanted to make sure I covered all my bases this time. :p

What do you mean "this site"? It's any site out there. We just think we're whittier about it.

I always do Sudoku in ink, precisely because even if I noticed such a mistake in pencil, there's no **** way that I'm going through the trouble of erasing.

Did you mean "wittier" or "whiter"? Because both might be true.

whoops, wittier.

Re: Gear Grinding Part 5: The Story of the Broken Tooth

The fact that food activists are getting outraged over Starbucks' Pumpkin Spice Latte grinds my gears. I know it doesn't contain any actual pumpkin, and that some of the ingredients aren't real food. But I also believe that this is America, and if you want to spend $5 on a coffee drink, that's your right.

That may be so. However, the other day I was at the liquor store and at the checkout counter they had what was advertised as a single-serving margarita in a pouch: just stick the pouch in the freezer for a few hours, pull it out, and voila! It was on sale at $0.99 so I thought, why not give it a shot (pun partially intended).

It was not very good. Then I looked closely at the ingredients (after I drank it, of course. :( ) and noticed that there was no tequila in it, just white wine. How can you call something a "margarita" when it contains no tequila!

ah.

I was going to post yesterday how angry I am every year on 9-11 but then Brenthoven started his "never forget" thread and I posted there instead. There is nothing like having someone try to kill you that leaves you enraged every time you are reminded about how narrowly you escaped death.

When it comes down to it - it's a message board. Post what you want. Expect people to reply in all manners. :) This thread was originally a riff on an old thread called The List, which was explained by The Sicatoka every year for dumb, stupid stuff you'd probably sound like a ********* complaining about in real life, so my point was not to feel guilty for posting something trivial.

I posted something on FB about praying for all theose who lost love ones, those left behind and those who cared for them. Some woman who I am only sort of acquainted with (very distant relative) posted a reply/ rant on Hillary Clinton and Benghazi being the thing we shouldn't forget. UUTF. That still is grinding my gears. I took care of people who lost folks on the plane- knew people outside of work, etc. Couldn't even respond. Just not the time or place to go off on a political rant. I deleted her post.

Fruitport Township needs to upgrade the restrooms at Pomona Park. What kind of restroom doesn't have the ability to close the stall doors? Or doesn't have soap when you go to wash your hands?

Re: Gear Grinding Part 5: The Story of the Broken Tooth

These days, I wear a suit to work maybe two, three times a year at most.

So how come, on those days, it is always raining?
