A few months ago, I bought a 20-lb back of charcoal.
Today I went to get some more. The "20-lb" bag is now 18.6-lb bag. Price is the same though.
That's a backdoor price increase of 7.53%.
Not as bad as peppercorns, though. The 4 oz size now only holds 3 oz. Same price. Same size box even.

My wife punched the button once to cross between streets- and being a law in Michigan- some people stopped.
Once someone was killed by a driver who was trying to speed by ones who legally stopped. Another time, someone who legally stopped got rear-ended by a clueless driver.
People just don't pay attention.
I thought the "rule" for Ann Arbor pedestrians was that if you make eye-contact with the driver, you have the right-of-way.![]()
