Re: Game of Thrones Season 6: Lions and Wolves and Sand Snakes, oh my!

It's a bit of a dead time right now.

Westworld will start up again in the spring. I'm not sure of anything else out there to hold my interest. Thinking of dumping HBO for a while until something I want to see starts up again.

I think showtime is better in winter. Shameless, the affair and homeland are better than whatever hbo shows

John Oliver. Veep. Young Pope. Bill Maher. All good shows. Obviously, Westworld alone is enough to justify the cost.

Oliver and Maher can both be found on YouTube, free of charge, uploaded by HBO itself.

Rather than keep the expense of a $15/month subscription I cancel it for a year or so then renew for a few months to catch up on shows via on demand then cancel again.

I might drop for a bit since curb is done for now

Jon: How many men do we have in the North to fight him? 10,000? Less?
Davos: Fewer.
Jon: What?

I'm late to the party. Have been catching up on the seasons for the first time. This post made me smile as I read it and then I caught this exchange just prior to it...

Davos: What do you think of her?
Jon: Who?
Davos: I believe you know of whom I speak... :p

I <3 Davos, the Onion Knight.

HBO announced that GoT will return in April. They did not give the exact date, only that it Winter is Coming...in April.

Avoiding the rest of this thread. I will reach my goal of watching the entire catalog prior to April. Be fun to be able to watch the last season as it unfolds and not have to avoid spoilers like I have to now.

Still avoiding the thread. I finished Season 6. Starting Season 7 soon. Will be done right on time. Have to say Season 5 was horrible for me to watch. Apparently it was setting up a fantastically satisfying season 6. I was only sad/disappointed about two characters at the end of season 6. Everyone else I was happy about.

Side note, the GoT ice hotel in Lapland was one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen. I’d post pics here if I knew how to do it from my phone

Re: Game of Thrones Season 6: Lions and Wolves and Sand Snakes, oh my!

The key question is, when the finale is aired, and those people who watch it live online like I do via HBO Now or other means (like Hulu), will the Internet meltdown?

I have HBO via Hulu, and need to figure out if I can watch something live or if I have to wait for Monday. (My confidence on the live option is not high.)

HBO through any source should be the same...

Crap, I have same issue. I have xfinity but the jack was never working in the new house, I planned to cancel but never did so I watch via apps.
HBO go has no live option and far as I can tell, it’s not available until the next day? Or is GoT different?
