Fun With Numbers: 2016 Pairwise Predictor, What-Ifs, and Other Goodies

Re: Fun With Numbers: 2016 Pairwise Predictor, What-Ifs, and Other Goodies

I think I need a much bigger algorithm to figure this out!!
Yes, it could easily turn into a thesis for a doctorate. :) That's why I'd start with something like Robin Lock's offensive rating that has already done a lot of this work for you. It determines an offensive rating based on goals scored and makes allowances for the strength of the opponent. Good luck!

As an added bonus, that ranking is pronounced "CHOWDER," so I think it might give us eastern teams an edge :D

If it's pronounced "CHOWDER" that would actually give western teams the edge. But if you meant to type "CHOW-dah" then you're probably right. :D
