They just put it together enough to end your season.
Sorry you're right Wisconsin winning a semifinal game in 2012 means YEAH BABY BUY INTO THE 2015 BADGERS!

I don't get the comparison! Wisconsin has won 4 National Titles and been in 6 National Title games... I searched and searched and couldn't find Boston College anywhere! Not even a sniff! Actually 13 of the 14 Champions have come from the WCHA! I am a fairly new fan to women's college hockey and when I heard all the talk about BC I was expecting to find at least one Championship game appearance in 14 years!
oh

Could say the same thing about Wisconsin, no?

Re: Fun With Numbers '14-'15: USCHO Posters Poll, Pairwise What-Ifs, and Other Goodie

And boom goes the dynamite...
BC ended St. Lawrence's season in 2012, which has just as much relevance to a discussion of the 2015 Badgers and Eagles as Wisconsin ending BC's.

The point is, someone else ended BOTH of our seasons every year since 2011. So I ask again, can't what tristar said be applied word-for-word to the Badgers?

Sure...I just wanted to post boom goes the dynamite. :)

The answer is still, no. BC is Dartmouth of 10 years ago. A lot more talent than banners, even at the conference level.

This Wisconsin vs BC debate isn't necessary. They will both be in the NCAA playoffs, along with Minnesota and Harvard. Those four teams are just jockeying for seeding. I suggest to you that this debate be reserved for on ice... in early 2015. Enjoy your rides (cause there are fans of 20+ other teams who are extremely jealous of your riches).

They have the same number banners as Wisconsin the last few years. At least we're not 0-13 against our rival.

All I'm saying is I'm totally owning to my own biases here, but I still need Wisconsin to put up before I'm ready to buy in completely. I guess I'm not entirely sure what that will even look like, but I feel like I've done nothing but hear about how good Wisconsin's roster is and I feel like it's been a lot of talk for a few years, but then they don't put it together. They're the boy who cried wolf for me right now. All that potential, but no fulfilling the promise.

Everyone talks about how great Wisconsin is saying that that this is the year, but I guess I need to see to believe?

Hey I'm with you; they started it!

Nobody was talking about how great Wisconsin's roster was a couple of years ago. I know you're having fun playing parrot, but …

I will concede that BC is much better than Wisconsin at providing raw material for your highlight GIFs. So there's that.

OMG TonyTiger... funniest post of 2014 nomination! Apologies to the Wisco fans, but funny is funny, and this is funny.

Well, yeah, but your rival is winless against any team that counts over the last few years.

Re: Fun With Numbers '14-'15: USCHO Posters Poll, Pairwise What-Ifs, and Other Goodie

Because they're not winless against you.
Well, obviously, I'm not pleased with that thing he did not say, but why would I be upset about the thing he actually said?

Also, if you want the point to be "Yeah, we haven't beaten our rival even once the last 13 times we played them, but you aren't undefeated against yours!" then, I mean, go for it.

Wisconsin may not be undefeated against their rival, but they are undefeated against your rival.

Clarkson had never even been to the Frozen Four until last year... So not having any appearances in the Title Game doesn't really mean much.
