Will do. What happened to her?

Rolled her ankle pretty badly. Watch it on Sports Center this AM. Don't know how she did not break it. :(

Re: Fun With Numbers '14-'15: USCHO Posters Poll, Pairwise What-Ifs, and Other Goodie

Changes ahead obviously. I'll have to probably rank a couple for the first time in 2014-2015. Demote the Beavs probably too.

Among at least one other adjustment...;)

Re: Fun With Numbers '14-'15: USCHO Posters Poll, Pairwise What-Ifs, and Other Goodie

1) Minnesota Impressive 2 game win streak vs Wisco
2) Wisconsin In a battle for #1....that close
3) BC Haven't beat anyone great yet, but then again no else looks better and they have tons of offence and good D
4) Boston U Two wins versus Clarkson move them up
5) Harvard Who knows, on paper they should be up near top, but McGill win quality not really more impressive than 3 other Ivys did. Time will tell.
6) UMD Tie with Minn gives them leg up on UND but mixed results to date including 1-1 record vs UND
7) Cornell Wonder why only Ivy not to have had even an EX game yet? Likelier rusty to start than others as result; plus young D. Top offense should put them close behind Harvard anyway
8) UND Win and Loss vs UMD puts them in same neighbourhood at least for now despite mixed results with weaker teams
9) Quinnipiac Undefeated to date, but against weaker competition as well. Lots of depth
10)Clarkson Tiley looks good addressing goalie question mark with Howe graduation. Losses to BU this week move them down from #8 but no one outside of top 10 looks better than this team yet.

Bemidji moves out of Top 10 based on 2 losses to OSU; one loss each this weekend by Northeastern and Mercyhurst to one another prevent them from moving up into #10 along with the fact that neither have beat any top half teams

1. Minnesota - feasting on cardinal and white so far this year (better dead than red).
2. BC - mmm...cupcakes.
3. WisconSIN - maroon and gold has a stranglehold.
4. BU - championchip belt in tow.
5. Harvard - who knows how good.
6. Cornell - Ditto...
7. Quinnipiac - like the Jeffersons they're moving on up.
8. UND - riding the roller coaster.
9. Mercyhurst - slipping a little.
10. Clarkson - probably don't deserve this but cred for last year keeps them here.

Re: Fun With Numbers '14-'15: USCHO Posters Poll, Pairwise What-Ifs, and Other Goodie

1. Minnesota - OK, we get it. Back to #1.
2. Wisconsin - Lots of respect to this team and coach.
3. Boston College - Scary. Can't wait till they play a top 10 team.
4. Harvard - Scary. Can't wait till they play a game, period.
5. Boston University - Rolling as expected. This team might not lose for a while. Circle BU v Harvard on your must watch list for Nov 21.
6. Cornell - First game next week... against BC! No exhibition game to tune up. Ouch.
7. Quinnipiac - Surprise - they can score. We already knew they play defense.

The next 3 are near impossible. I've got 7 for 3 slots. I'm going to use L.O.S. (Least Objectionable Selection) theory.

8. St. Lawrence - They deserve this slot, for now.
9. Yale - They move to this slot by not playing (I guess that's the LOL theory).
10. Northeastern - I can't defend this ranking, I just think they get better.

Re: Fun With Numbers '14-'15: USCHO Posters Poll, Pairwise What-Ifs, and Other Goodie

1. Minnesota -- Well then.
2. Wisconsin -- What the hell, seriously?
3. Boston College -- Pretty good game against UNH. A sweep of Cornell would move them up to 2 no matter what Wisconsin does to Bemidji, and #1 if Minny slips at all vs. ND.
4. Cornell -- ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
5. Harvard -- ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
6. BU -- Really good sweep against Clarkson, but Clarkson might be worse than SLU this year. You heard it here first.
7. Quinnipiac -- Might be moving up even more than this in the coming weeks, they look good.
8. North Dakota -- Good split. I don't think very highly of Duluth which is why I have NoDak ranked and not the Bulldogs.
9. Mercyhurst -- Good split but not as good as NoDak's. NU has some things to figure out.
10. St. Lawrence -- Trying not to drink the Kool Aid too much after they tied BC, but might be time to start throwing them some love.

On a side note I booked my next vacation and made sure it wasn't during hockey season this time -- go me.
