Got it. Sorry. My sarcastic reply wasn't meant to personally attack you. I was aiming at your opinion, not you. "Sport" seems more personal to me but how you intended it is more important.

Having said that, the polls say that the best women's hockey is in Chestnut Hill, MA... which is WEST of Boston. <---- more sarcasm aiming at your opinion.
The reference was to Clarkson and Quinnipiac per ranking Minnesota Duluth above those two.

To imagine the amount of alcohol 1000 people at a Lamont Cranston show in the 70's or 80's could consume would make a contemporary club owner very green (but not with dollars)!!
At that time a bottle of domestic was a buck and a nickel. I think it's gone up a little since. ;)

Was the nickel just to make sure patrons had tip money?

I think that may have been. Still...we didn't like it. Making change was a pain in the rear.

Some opinions are unwelcome I guess.
I'm not aiming this specifically at you, but at the populace in general -- Why is it that people think that their right to an opinion means they have a right not to have their opinion criticized?

Yes I agree. My next sarcastic response was aimed at your "Better hockey out west" assertion. And it is better, if you ignore that darn Eagle.

Answer: Because they "know" they're right....or they really hate being wrong. ;)

Tony... I believe he pointed that remark at me. Apparently you are still loved by all fans on this board. Now say something controversial, because you're killing your reputation!

I'm skeptical. Maybe the difference is some consider the manner of criticism while others do not. I've been around the forum long enough to know that there is a subjective aspect to an opinions acceptance or refutation, and the manner of refutation in particular. Prominent contributors having variable standards of decorum based on affiliations.

I'm not ignoring BC. Next opinion. I consider that unproven at this point.

I completely expected a sarcastic response to this one. :)

The WCHA this year is just the Hockey East of 3-4 years ago.

3-4 years ago in Hockey East everyone was knocking each other off and everyone wrote it off as a weak league.
This year in the WCHA everyone is knocking each other off and it's a sign of how super great the WCHA is.

Furthermore, Minnesota is wildly overrated because Wisconsin is wildly overrated and vice versa.
I don't actually think these things

I've found if I ignore most of the fluff, there is a nugget of truth in what you say.
