Hmmm.....I wonder who really needed that test......

The last time I visited my doctor, she asked the nurse/assistant to give me a hearing test as part of my checkup.

The nurse assistant gave me a plastic cup and took me to the bathroom......


No joke, that actually did happen.

It's lowbrow humor, so of course I chuckled.

It's kind of droll how acronyms might stick in the mind based on when and where you first heard them....

From our time in Wyoming, BLM still initially brings to mind "Bureau of Land Management," given that about half the state is owned/managed by the feds ("... no wait, it means something else now....").

And in my younger days, Single Jewish Women were potential dates.

Even now, when I have to tweak the colors in a presentation, I start adjusting the Red/Blue/Green color scale.
