Friday 10/29/10 - Scores, taunts, jibes, and opening night of LPS!!

Re: Friday 10/29/10 - Scores, taunts, jibes, and opening night of LPS!!

The defense was VERY shaky. In the exhibition game they allowed alot of odd man rushes.

I want my $120 back if this is the way they're going to play all year long.

Well, I hope to see a good game next weekend in Oswego at least.

Game over at the MAC

Final:

Elmira 9
Morrisville 2

The game got very, very chippy after Elmira put the game out of reach. Salmon is automatically out for the next game, if not more depending on the referee's report. Elmira needed a game like this heading into the beginning of it's conference play.

Shots:

Buffalo played a good game tonight, and the lakers could not finish, also buffalos netminder played very well, and beckwith played well enough to get the win..............play like that tomorrow, and the lakers get beat.......cards lost 6-3, Genny is tuffffffffff at home, never liked playing there........

I'd have to guess that at least the Geneseo players would be playing with some kind of "chip" on thier shoulders with the way last season went down...

Knowing where they landed last year on the standings board, the Knights looked awfully tough rolling into this one. They didn't retire that many seniors either, I don't believe.

Rather grateful that the Lakers took Buff ST tonight on home ice - it was awfully sloppy play that a better team could have burned OSU on many times. Had the roles of the Cards and the Lakers been reversed tonight, it very well could have been the Lakers looking at a nasty defeat instead, in my opinion.

cards lost 7-3

First, fixed that for you.

I continue to be pleasantly surprised by this Ice Knight team. Still undefeated since the NCAA sanctions came down. Seems like the moment somebody makes a "Gen-Easy-O" crack, the Ice Knights lay the smack down on one of the SUNYAC powers.

This marks Geneseo's first win over Plattsburgh since February 2, 2007, When Stephens, MacDonald, Jordan, et al were still on the roster.

the end of last yr they were playing with nothing to loose, and they did well if I remember, not sure if they can play in the playoffs this yr but there off to a good start, perhaps loose from last yr still??

If Oz could've finished, the Lakers would've put up their customary allotment of goals. Carr played a heck of a game between the pipes. Give him his due.

I'm still shocked over Platty getting run out of the barn by Genny. I'd hate to be B'Port tomorrow. In the words of CM Punk... "Someone's Gonna Die" and "It's Clobberin' Time."
