Friday 1/21 Scores, Drop the puck

Re: Friday 1/21 Scores, Drop the puck

Looks like St. Thomas forgot how to play hockey in the Coliseum with a 6-0 loss to Hamline. UGH

Re: Friday 1/21 Scores, Drop the puck

Last minute of regulation at Lawrence. Still a 4-3 Adrian lead.

EDIT: 0:41 to go.

Re: Friday 1/21 Scores, Drop the puck

Babson escapes and I'm still alive in the Interlock 5-4 in OT over UNE.

MSOE over Finlandia 6-1 in Loser's LPS.

Re: Friday 1/21 Scores, Drop the puck

When did Neumann become a bad team?

Never said they were, nor do I think they are. Just making an observation that Manhattanville does not appear to be as good as everyone is pegging them to be. I understand they had a strong showing over in Northfield. However, one weekend does not make a season. Scanning the PWR numbers last night, in my interpretation Elmira is the lead horse in that race with Manhattanville coming in 3rd behind Utica as well. (That of course is likely to change after the performances tonight)

Re: Friday 1/21 Scores, Drop the puck

And I'm starting to wonder just how "big" of a win over Norwich and Adrian really are this year. You're right, one weekend doesn't show a teams progress...look at the rest of their year...looks more like a team that

Barely got by WNE
Barely got by Cortland
Barely tied Williams
Barely got by the Plattsburgh JV team (Curry)

Re: Friday 1/21 Scores, Drop the puck

A staggering 190 people were in attendance to watch the BIG Neumann/Manhattanville game. It must have been tough to get a ticket for that one! Place must have been rockin'! :)

That's a pretty small crowd, but I bet the scoreboard worked.

Neumann plays at an off-campus rink in the hockey hot bed of Aston, Pa. If you're a hockey fan in southern pennsylvania, you're more likely to be at a Flyers game or one of the AHL/ECHL teams than college hockey.

Plattsburgh hockey is only gig in town and the only gig within two hours if you're not crossing on a ferry or going over the border.

I dont know if you're old enough but, Plattsburgh used to have much bigger crowds EVERY night when the air force base was still around. Pburgh used to get 2500-3000 every game. Yes (even a non-Oswego game)

***Knock on Wood*** we haven't had issues with the scoreboards in weeks... and the goal lights are working too! looks like they got the power issues solved finally!

But it was pretty funny to see how many people looked at the scoreboards when the fire alarm went off LOl Walking out many were surprised it wasn't them on fire .
