I was considering asking a stupid question about who you wanted to win but you just answered my question. So, are you seriously partially concerned about Notre Dame?

Well Bowling Green is struggling to come up with 18 skaters, while Notre Dame has at least 10 potential NHL players that are bound to pull their heads out of their asses at some point (unlike you). So yes, we do have a preference.

Bowling Green wins.

They will be no cakewalk. They beat Northern twice and Michigan once in their last five. Not to mention wins against Notre Dame and Western in the last month.

I hope the Dawgs are ready to play like a #1 seed.

Absolutely. I think a lot of people look down on BG because of their ranking but they have a lot of talent on their team. They might still be a little rough around the edges but that doesn't mean they can't beat ranked teams. FSU is going to have to prove they deserve an NCAA bid.

Right, the team with nothing to lose can be very dangerous. And it looks like they're hot right now, which isn't a good thing for Ferris.

Thoughts on the NCAA Hockey Selection show pushed off ESPN2 from last year to ESPNU this year?

Last year, both Semi-Final games were on ESPN2 and the National Championship game was on ESPN. This year, One Semi-Final game is on ESPN2 and the other is on ESPNU. Lastly, the National Championship game is on ESPN2 this year.

ESPN has no interest in promoting the sport. With NBC Sports now being the top NHL and college hockey network, ESPN seems to just be fulfilling their contractual obligation.

It's a matter of time before NBC Sports gets the Frozen Four.

Try 2024-25. ESPN will try to make NBC pay through the nose to spin it out from the rest of the NCAA contract assuming that's even possible. NBC isn't going to pay much if anything for an event that rarely breaks a 1 rating.

Re: Ferris State University Hockey 2011-2012 - A New Lease On Life

Not sure why the UM fans are saying Hunwick got snubbed. There's only one goalie that led his team to a conference title and it wasn't him. It's okay, though. I'm sure they're complaining just as well as an Ivy League school would.

Gentlemen.

There are two teams we need to be focused on right now, and nothing else. One team is our own. The other is from Bowling Green.

Thank you.

Well, then. THAT'S not what we had in mind.

Word of advice: when you put up 56 SOG, you might want to put more than 2 in the net.

I liked it...wish I could've been there. :) Coming up tomorrow to join my wife and watch the second game. Couldn't get off work this afternoon for this one. Sounds like Hammond played out of his mind!

So was this all Hammond's doing?

Re: Ferris State University Hockey 2011-2012 - A New Lease On Life

Most likely, but we've done this before over the years. Put 78 shots on net and get beat 2-1, or something similar.

Ferris didn't help themselves and the officials didn't help anyone. It's hard to watch a game when the officials are so wishy-washy that the players can't tell what is and isn't going to get called. There's also some question as to whether or not the dump-in preceding the winning goal hit the protective netting but I couldn't see it from my seat so I won't comment.

Edit: Ferris did play well but couldn't finish their chances and got burned on turnovers around the net.
